Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Video Transcript for Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Audi Q5 - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2016 Audi Q5 we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75940. All right, here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's very well hidden behind our factory bumper cover here. Tucks up nicely behind it. The one part really hanging down is the class III receiver with the 2 by 2 inch opening, and then our safety chain loops right here are also hanging down. I like the fact that our safety chain loops here are behind our hitch pins and below the receiver, because if you have a large locking device to secure your ball mount, sometimes if your safety chain loops are in this area here your hitch pin covers it up, and it makes it more difficult to attach your safety chain loops. When they're in this location here, it is easier for you to use.

It's one very nice feature about this hitch. Towards the front of our hitch we have our industry standard 5/8 inch hitch pin hole here. To the rear we have a J pin stabilization device, which is a device that's inserted to help take some annoying shake and play and rattle out of whatever inside of your receiver. We have those available separately on our website if you'd like to purchase one, unless your bike rack or cargo carrier already has an anti-rattle device built into it. This hitch features a black powder coat finish throughout it's construction. We have this nice collar welded on to the end of the receiver that helps give it a nice finished look. This hitch features a 750 pound max tongue weight rating and a 5,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating.

It does not support the use of weight distribution systems. Now for a few measurements to better assist you in choosing any hitch mounted accessory you may need, such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. You're looking at about 4 inches from the center of the 5/8 inch diameter hitch pin hole to the rearmost point of the back bumper, and about 15 inches from the ground to the top of the class III 2 inch receiver opening. This hitch is a simple installation. It uses existing hardware already in the vehicle. On most models it requires no modification to the fascia at all, no trimming required. On some models that don't have the access cover here you will have to do some trimming, though.

Even though our hitch is recessed a little bit behind the edge of our bumper cover it does stick out far enough that most bike rack or cargo carriers should be able to clear just fine with the location of the hitch pin hole. Here's what our hitch comes with, just the hitch itself. There's no installation hardware required. It installs using existing factory hardware already on our vehicle. If you see here on the side of our hitch, this will slide into our frame channel and it'll be installed using the existing bolts in our frame channel. All right, now this hitch is a slightly involved install.

We'll need to remove our rear bumper cover in order to install that. To do that we'll open our hatch first. We can now remove all of our flooring and we'll set it aside. Now we'll remove our cargo bin 00:03:01 tray here. Now we'll remove our scuff panel here. To do that just pull straight up on it and it'll pop out. We'll remove our electrical connection here, push on the tab and it pulls out, with that unplugged. There was a tab on the top and the bottom of it too. If you find it difficult, squeeze right there and it'll come out pretty easily. There's 2 circular pockets here and our bumper support where there's a 10 millimeter nut inside. It's fairly recessed so we need an extension and a deep well socket. The other ones over here is right next to our latch mechanism. Now we need to remove our 4 cargo hooks here. There's 2 on each side of the vehicle, and they're held in place with T30 screws. There's 2 screws per hook. Once you get the screws out just lift it up. We'll repeat the same process for the other side. Now we can lift our side rails off. The back rail comes with it. Now we can remove our driver side interior panel here. Twist the latch, pull down, lift off. Now we'll remove our air compressor. Pull back on the hook and loop tape, lift up. Now we'll remove these clips here that hold a styrofoam bracket in place that held our air compressor. Just unscrew them, set them out. With those undone we'll just lift it straight up and set it aside. Right where my finger is there's another 10 millimeter nut that holds our rear bumper cover on. This is inside the compartment where the air compressor was. We're going to go ahead and remove that. For reference, that stud is right back in this area here. Now we'll remove our passenger side panel. Just pull back on it, there's a power outlet. Push in on the tab here, disconnect it, and we'll set this panel aside. Now on our passenger side compartment there's this fuse box here. We need to remove this. It's held in place with a 10 millimeter nut right down there. You're going to have to wiggle it out a little bit. Set it forward. You don't want to unplug any of this, just get it out of your way, just like that. On our passenger side here where our fuse box was there is another stud with a 10 millimeter nut on it. We'll need to remove that nut. Now in our rear wheel well on both sides of the vehicle there are 4 T25 torque screws going up the side of our bumper cover here. We need to remove these. Once you have them loose you can take them out by hand. Once you have all 4 of these out repeat the same process on the other side of the vehicle. Now, if your Audi Q5 is equipped with the fascia pop out you can remove this now. If yours does not have this fascia pop out here, your bumper cover will require some trimming later on down in the instructions that are included with your hitch. Since ours has this we'll remove it using the same T25 screw that we saw in the wheel well. That'll slide down and slide off. Now that we have our fascia pop out removed, we'll remove the T25 screws and our floor pan of our trunk so we can take our fascia off. With a second set of hands we'll remove our bumper cover. To do this we'll pull back here, away from our fender, and it'll pop out towards us. Then we'll slide it towards the rear of the vehicle. Now when we're sliding it off the vehicle there are multiple sensors and lights that we'll have to unplug. Now on the passenger side of our vehicle there is one large cable that connects all of our wires for our sensors and lights inside of our vehicle. Unfortunately there's not a plug to disconnect this all at once, so you'll have to unclip the wiring from the fascia and then unplug everything individually. Once they're all unclipped we can safely set our bumper cover down so it doesn't get damaged. Okay, now on both sides of our trunk there are 2 16 millimeter bolts that hold our bumper support in. We'll go ahead and remove those using a 6 inch extension on our 16 millimeter socket. Just leave it down just like that. We'll repeat the process on the other side. Now we can grab our aluminum bumper support here with all of our hardware removed and we'll slide it out. Now that our bumper support's been removed we'll slide our hitch into position in the frame pockets of the vehicle. We'll just slide it on in. As you can see here, the hitch does replace our bumper. Our existing bumper that we removed, we can either hang on to it or put it in the scrap pile. It's your choice. Now our holes that we have in the frame rails of our vehicle, you can see we can see the hitch through them. We'll slide the hitch into position until the holes in the hitch line up with those. Right about there. We'll repeat the same process on the other side. Once our holes are lined up we'll take our brackets with the factory bolts and we'll drop them on down. We'll do the same on the other side. Now that we have all of our bolts started, you want to have them started by hand a few turns before you drive them on down, make sure you don't strip anything out. You also want to make sure that hitch is centered on the vehicle. With our hitch centered, we'll tighten our bolts on down using our 16 millimeter socket again. Repeat the same process on the other side. Now we'll torque our bolts to the specifications on the instructions. With all 4 of our bolts now torqued down to specifications in the instructions we can begin the process of re-installing our bumper cover. We'll start to reconnect all of our wiring harnesses. We'll reinstall all of the wires that we unplugged earlier in the same locations, and we'll make sure we clip back on the wiring harness to the bumper cover itself. Gently raised our bumper cover back in place, making sure we go around our hitch like so. We'll raise it on up and clip it back into position, making sure we get our bolts through the holes on the side of it. Now we can reinstall the 4 nuts that go onto the studs to hold our bumper in place. It's easiest if you stick them on a socket with an extension to get them into position. You tighten them down by hand a few turns. Then we can snug them up with a ratchet. Now we'll reinstall our fuse box. We'll reinstall our passenger side panel, making sure we plug back in our power outlet. Now we'll reinstall our tray to our tire air compressor. With our compressor tray reinstalled we'll reinstall the compressor, making sure we strap it on down. Reinstall our driver side door now. We'll reinstall our side plates. With our side pieces reinstalled we'll replace our cargo hooks. We'll get them all started by hand first, and then we'll tighten them on down. Now we'll reinstall this center piece here. Now we'll plug in our sensor on the back of our scuff plate. We'll reinstall this. Line it up on the guide pins and then push it straight down. Our storage bin goes back in. Then our spare tire cover. Then our floor mat. Now we'll reinstall the 4 screws in our wheel wells on both sides. Get them started by hand a couple turns first. Once we have these 4 tightened we'll repeat the same process on the other side of the vehicle. Even though these screws won't be holding anything in we're going to reinstall them just so they're there. These are the screws that held in place the door that covered up where our hitch went. We'll put our 2 screws back in here for the trunk floor, too. That completes our installation of the Draw-Tite Max Frame Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75940 on our 2016 Audi Q5.

Very impressed with the time it took to get my hitch delivered! I had watched the videos on how to install but when I went to install mine I had the factory mud flaps and there were a couple tips and tricks that could have been discussed on your video to make this an even better install. Also on my 2015 Q5 I chose to put my bumper skin with all the wiring attached to it on a couple of boxes so I didn't have to remove any wiring which made my life easier. Other than that the quality seems to be there and I had no issues. Thumbs up from me. 722304

Installed this on my 2016 Macan S, fit and finish was spot on! My only complaint is that there should be an instruction sheet and video specifically for the Macan. Doing so would save the Macan owner about an hour or so since a good amount of q5 steps do not apply to ours. Most importantly, measure twice and cut once! 719156

This is the hitch to buy if you have this vehicle. It replaces the bumper behind the bumper fascia and needs no extra hardware. It becomes part of the frame. Can't imagine a more durable and clean way to do this. You will need a partner to help out when removing the fascia and it's probably more involved than other installations, but it's worth it. 605831

It's well built heavy duty and seems like it can handle the specified load of 5000 pounds although I haven't towed anything with it just yet. It has a nice powder coat finish and it fitted nicely in my Audi Q5. It took me 3 hours to install. Watched the video twice before making an attempt to install and referee to it agin during the process of installation. 420179

2017 BMW M6

The product arrived in time, with good instructions for installation, and adequately packaged. The installation of the hitch was much easier than I anticipated, and the videos and photographic steps were easy to follow. I completed the hitch install over a few hours by myself, and it's holding up well to carry my bike rack! Thank you for providing a great resource and making this process easy for those who don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on installation and labor fees. Note on installation for the 2017 Audi Q5: for those not familiar with tools at all, the M16 wrench socket should be a 6-point, short socket, and the M10 should be a 6-point, long socket in order to reach the appropriate nuts and bolts within the car. The installation paper also refers to tightening an M6 to a certain ft-lb, but this should refer to the M16...believe it's a typo. 644172

Well, the EZ hitch for the 2013 Q5 arrived on time and in good condition. All the parts ordered were in the box. Now it's on to installing said hitch following the EXCELLENT detailed procedures in the video. 338274

I only used the hitch one time - to tow a 5x8 covered trailer from Houston to Austin. The hitch perfromed flawlessly, no issues whatsoever. However since I needed a larger covered trailer I would up selling the Q5 and buying an F250 diesel to haul the new 6X12 covered trailer.

Product was great. I follow the video it was pretty good except they cut some parts where the bumper holds under the wheel well plastic bracket . Also i didnt need to remove the harness from all the stuff on rear bumper I just got something to hold bumper on the side and didn't disconnect any clips . took me 1hr 45 mins to do . 367619

Just finished installing the hitch on 2016 Q5, whole job with a friend took about an hour. Watch the video a few times and it's pretty straightforward. I followed "Stanley's" recommendation and didn't disconnect wiring harnesses from the bumper, I just put bumper to the side and supported it to not put strain on wiring. My Q5 has access panel (like the video) that the receiver fits through, so no cutting and very clean looking install. Very pleased! 391187

2014 Audi Q5

I purchased the Draw Tite hitch for my Audi Q5 2014 and it was a perfect fit.. I was worried at first when I didn’t see any bolts packaged but it’s not needed because you use the existing bolts from the frame assembly on the car. The printed instructions were clear and easy to follow but the video was spot on. I did have trouble getting the bumper back on but found out that the hitch needed to be pushed in a little more. I suggest putting the hitch in place to line up the bolt holes and loosely fit the bolts. Once the bolts are screwed in place then push the hitch in after far as possible. This will allow clearance to put the bumper back on. 489523

Super cheap option for adding the flexibility to carry bikes. The install was also very easy with the help of the video. The finish isn't the strongest as it is wearing away and starting to rust after not a lot of use. I use it about 1x/month and am very careful with installing the bike rack to not chip the surface. Regardless of that, I am happy for the price paid. 450386

2017 Porsche Macan

I just installed one of your hitches on my 2016 Porsche Macan S. I am very happy with the quality of the hitch. I want to provide some feedback that may be useful for new customers. Macan S vs Audi SQ5 Instruction differences: Step 3. The Macan requires 2 plastic 10 mm bolts be removed to allow for the trim panel to be removed. Step 4. N/A for the Macan S Step 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 are N/A for the Macan s Step 15. There are 4 Torx screws that need to be removed from the inner fender liner and an additional 4 Torx screws under the inner fender liner that need to be removed. Step 17. Not sure what the NOTE applied to. I didn't see this on my Macan S I found it easiest to separate the rear diffuser / skid plate from the bumper when completing the task of trimming the hole for the hitch. I also found it easier to install the diffuser / skid plate after the bumper was installed. 360083

The hitch was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition. The product is extremely well made and undoubtedly hold up to whatever I can dish out. I would have provided 5 stars except the installation instructions and video were not accurate for my vehicle. If I owned an Audi Q5 then I would have been dialed in. However, the process for the Macan is different. The location of the bumper fascia bolts is different and removing the compressor and fuse panel were unnecessary. Otherwise, the fit is excellent. I love how the receiver sits recessed from the rear bumper. My ankles will appreciate it. 413213

Thanks for following up. I have a question about my Drawtite 2 hitch. When I install my Kuat bike rack and tighten down the hand screw which pushes the ball outward at the top right corner the rack tilts to the left. I purchased and installed a second Drawtite 2 hitch for my Acura MDX. It does the same thing. However, this tilting does not happen on my Toyota factory hitch. It appears as though the opening is larger on my Drawtite hitches by about 1 mm or a bit more. What can be done to prevent this tilting? Thank you for your help.

Pupsport - 07/31/2018

The Toyota OEM hitches are known to have a larger collar on them and the outer diameter of the receiver portion may be a little bit larger, therefore your hitch pin on your Kuat bike rack may be a tighter fit then on your Draw-Tite receivers. I have spoken with my contacts at Kuat when the anti wobble device on their bike racks is activated it is not uncommon for the bike rack to shift to the left a bit. To resolve this issue they recommend a second u-bolt style anti-wobble device like the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061

2015 Audi SQ5. Price was great. Received it in CA in 4 business days for free. Could not have even attempted it without the video but glad I did. I've heard the dealer cost is about $800 and I don't trust anyone else to do it. Hardest part by far was disconnecting the electrical connections and wiring harness for the bumper cover. Some of them were very stingy to disconnect. Probably took 1.5 hours just for that. Just stay with it and you start to figure it out. It took about 3.5 hours total plus another 2 hours to cut the lower bumper cowl which is optional but looks great. It really tucks up nicely behind the bumper cover. You almost don't even notice it. With the cowl cut with a jig saw it looks better than the factory job. I made the cuts tight on the receiver and my straight hitch pin still fits. If you had a locking pin you would either have to remove the cowl plate when towing or cut more of the plate for room. I also did not install light connections. I will only use this for motorcycle and bicycle transport so no lights required. See pics. 355769

We purchased the hitch for our Audi Q5, I was hesitant to do the install but after viewing the etrailer video anyone could do this install. The hardest part was clipping my plastic bumper back on. Great powder coated heavy duty product we use it all the time for our bike rack. 700582

I chose this version of hitch which uses the bumper mounts on my Audi Q5 because of the robust connection when towing. It is a bit more difficult to install, but the hardest part is getting the bumper cover off. Then it's just nuts and bolts. I have towed a 1000 lb UHaul (light load) w/ no issue at all. If you are going to tow, then just bite the bullet and order the wiring harness. This is more difficult to install than the hitch itself. It all works great. One comment: you will need to cut out the plastic panel where the receiver comes through. Take time w/ this as you will be able to cut a square hole where the receiver will come through w/ minimal cosmetic issues. I have a white car, so when I cut a "slot", the slot is visible under the receiver. I glued the cut "slot" back on and filled and painted the cut lines white so it looks nice, but I wish I had just cut the square hole. 698412

The install was easier than I expected and I'm not normally comfortable working on cars. Took me about 90 minutes. I greatly appreciated the video installation tutorial so that I knew exactly what I was getting into. I didn't need to disconnect the wires after I removed the fascia since there was enough wire to lean it against a wall in my garage. The only thing that threw me off was I couldn't find the instructions where there was apparently specifications for the torque wrench. The instruction booklet was hidden inside the receiver port which was wrapped in plastic wrap. I didn't unwrap until after I was done with the install. It would have been nice to see an indication that the instructions were inside there. 634429

As I stated in my first review, the hitch itself was great, so long as 1) You do not follow the instructions provided by eTrailer.com. Those instructions result in permanent damage to the tabs that connect the plastic bumper cover to the rear fenders. I special tool is needed to disengage those tabs without breakage. 2) You don't want to haul a trailer. I would not recommend this hitch to any Audi owner who wants to haul a trailer because the after-market wiring harness simply doesn't provide all the seamless functionality of the OEM hitch and built-in wiring system (i.e. lights, braking and needed alterations to driving characteristics) without risk of damaging the OEM wiring system when you patch into it. Consequently, I have the eTrailer hitch sitting in my garage because I discovered these things after I bought it. If you can afford an Audi, you can definitely afford the $1600 for the Audi install. Over the life of the car and hauling my new Oliver Travel Trailer, it was absolutely worth doing it right through my Audi Dealer. 616535

Hitch was super simple to install. One suggestion...I really didn't need to disconnect the wiring from the bumper. I just let the bumper loosely hang and installed the hitch. 609110

2011 Audi Q5

Etrailer has a great web site for ordering, the hitch came quickly and was an easy install, partly because of the great install video etrailer has available for their customers to view. What I like about this hitch over the other one that will fit this year and make of vehicle, is that it looks like the factory hitch. 594416

2016 Audi Q5

Product arrived much quicker than expected albeit somewhat roughed up cosmetically by FedEx. Installation done by a local mechanic shop charging 1.5 hours of labor. Total cost is less than half the price of the part alone from Audi. I'm very pleased with the quality and fit. Only caution is that the hitch is very rugged and therefore adds about 40# to your vehicle weight above the non-hitch aluminum frame piece it replaces. 592425

One year into owning the hitch that I installed on my Audi SQ5, I am 100% satisfied. Hitch, car and bikes that I haul around are all doing great. I was initially nervous about the complexity if this particular installation, but the video was perfect and I saved lot's of $$ doing it myself. 562753

Installed on 2017 Audi Q5 in a couple hours. I found it fairly easy with the only challenges being removal and reattaching car trim. I t is not difficult if you understand the basics on how vehicles are put together but it does take patience. Recommendations: purchase nylon trim removal tools...they are inexpensive and very handy. 557716

Ask the Experts about this Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch

Do you have a question about this Trailer Hitch?

  • Availability of a Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2018 Audi SQ5
  • I have a solution for you, however, the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, # 75940, will not work on the 2018 Audi SQ5. The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Trailer Receiver Hitch, # 76183, is the confirmed hitch for the 2018 Audi SQ5. This Draw-Tite hitch is designed to fit your Audi with no drilling required to install on the frame of the vehicle. This hitch has a 2 x 2 inch receiver opening and has a 750 lbs tongue weight capacity. Installation of the this hitch will require the...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Fit for 2018 Porsche Macan
  • The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75940 has not yet been tested on a 2018 Porsche Macan, so I can't confirm that fit. Instead I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13136 which has been tested and confirmed to fit your 2018 Porsche Macan. The fit is also compatible with the similar Audi Q5, so I've attached a photo and a video of that installation to assist. The trunk pan underneath your vehicle will...

  • Trailer Hitch & Wiring Harness Fits for 2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid
  • My contact at Draw-Tite was able to confirm the fit of Class III hitch # 75940 on the 2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid. You can see the installation process on a 2017 model year Q5 in the linked video. Installation requires no drilling but does include some fascia trimming. For a 4-pole trailer wiring harness you can use kit # 119190KIT which is shown in a second linked video. You may also be interested in the handy ball mount kit # 989900 which includes a combination of ball mounts and hitch...

  • Best Trailer Hitch for Bike Rack on 2016 Audi Q5
  • The best trailer hitch for a bike rack on your 2016 Audi Q5 is easily the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75940 because it offers the best bumper clearance and ground clearance of the hitches that fit your vehicle. This is a 2" hitch with a concealed crosstube, so not only does it mean your Audi keeps its clean look, but it means the hitch sits up higher and closer to the edge of the bumper than the Curt # C13136. I have added a photo of how this hitch looks when installed on a...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2011 Audi Q5
  • On your 2011 Audi Q5, models that have the backup camera could have a slightly different fascia that apparently could hang down a little further requiring a little bit of trimming around the square part of the trailer hitch # 75940. It does not affect every vehicle though (actually seems to be rare since it is not mentioned in the instructions nor had the manufacturer heard of this issue) and could be a situation where it depends on which factory the vehicle was assembled in but the details...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2017 Audi Q5
  • We do offer a couple custom fit Class III trailer hitches confirmed to fit your 2017 Audi Q5. I recommend the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C13136 because of its easier installation process when compared to the Draw-Tite alternative # 75940. The Curt Hitch has a 750 pound tongue weight capacity and a 5,000 pound towing weight capacity. I recommend also checking your vehicle's weight capacities as listed in the owner's manual, as this will likely be the limiting factor. This...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2015 Audi Q5 for Bike Rack
  • For your 2015 Audi Q5 the best choice for a trailer hitch for carrying a bike rack is the Draw Tite part # 75940 as it does not require using a stabilizer strap with a non-supported load like a bike rack like the Curt hitches do. Also it's a bit more concealed as well so it's easier on the eyes. My favorite 2 bike rack is the Saris Freedom SuperClamp part # SA4025F because it's a platform bike rack which means it's easy to load/unload, it's light weight at only 30 lbs, it's made in the...

  • The instructions for Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75940 are linked on its product page below the description and they are linked on this answer page as well. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If the ball mount kit does not have the right...

  • Will Installing an Aftermarket Trailer Hitch Void the Warranty on a 2015 Audi Q5
  • Consumers of aftermarket products are protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question. • Comparing Draw-Tite And Curt Trailer Hitches For 2016 Audi Q5
  • We do have many people asking about the stabilizing strap for the Curt hitches requirement. The Curt hitch, part # C13136 is solidly built and has the same capacity as the Draw-Tite Hitch, part # 75940. Curt issues the statement about a strap like part # 18050 as a precaution and to help relieve some of the stress on the back of a vehicle when using any non-towing accessory. My choice is the Draw-Tite, part # 75940 which has the same capacity as the Curt hitch but has no strap requirement...

  • Hitch Removal and Recommendation for Hitch on 2019 Subaru Outback
  • Removing the Draw-Tite hitch from the 2015 Audi Q5 should not be a problem for you. I recommend spraying the fasteners with a spray lubricant such as part # L10444 then removing the bolts with a wrench. We do have hitches that will fit the 2019 Subaru Outback but the Draw-Tite hitch for the Audi will not fit. I recommend Draw-Tite part # 76227 instead. The Draw-Tite hitch is one of the least invasive installations because it does not require drilling into the frame. However, the installation...

It is listed by Draw-Tite as a fit for all models of the 2016 Q5. The only note on it is that on models that have the back up camera may require fascia trimming for the hitch receiver tube. In my research I did find that Draw-Tite has confirmed the # 75940 to fit the 2017 Audi Q5, this was the same hitch that fit the 2016 model.
