Parts came fast and they worked great took the band out of the trailer. Thanks for fast service.

by:

The cushioned ball mounts are absolutely wonderful. You never know there is a load behind you, you never feel the trailer behind you slamming or pulling. I have three cushioned ball mounts with 2,4,&6" drops for my trailers.

Awesome product. I tow an 18 enclosed trailer with 4 big Harleys and I never know that trailer is behind me. Cushioned ball mounts are the only type ball mounts to purchase.

by:

Everything fit perfect, great prices, and fast shipping! Hitch is seriously heavy duty and the 6 " drop put my boat trailer perfectly lever behind my Dodge 3500. Spare tire and rim fit very nicely on the front of my trailer with the Dutton tire carrier. These guys even hooked me up with free 3 day shipping! etrailer gets 5 stars for sure!

by:

Its was the right drop for the height of my truck, and works as well and maybe even better than my last hitch. I think it might be do to the covert a ball I am using with it which lets me tow different trailer with different size ball's.

by:

Works great and very durable. I have a Silverado with a 6 inch lift on 35's and the 6 inch drop works perfect for my 28 foot boat on a triple axle extreme trailer and the 10 inch drop works perfectly for my dads double axle trailer. I had the aluminum 10 inch adjustable hitch if you guys are familiar with that and it works great but I bought The rock tamers mudflap system and the neck that goes into the receiver is too short. I had to buy new hitches for the rock tamers mudflaps system and I knew my drop size already and these ones are working perfectly.

by:

Great hitch. Used the instructions on line for providing proper height calculation to level trailer. Perfect! Hitch has less noise when trailering and provides a level tow.

by:

I pull trailers almost on a daily bases and this is a well made hitch. However I bought this hitch to reduce noise. and the fact is it rattles worse than the one I replaced.

by:

Hitch worked as advertised. Very smooth while pulling, braking, and accelerating. I would highly recommend this hitch for those who want to reduce the wear and tear on their drive train.

by:

Picked up this drop bar for my lifted f150 truck, construction is solid! don't see any issues in the future, paired this up with Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set and couldn't be happier!

definetly would buy again.

on a side note, etrailer did a fantastic job getting this to me on time! paid the extra for the rush delivery and item was shipped within 30 minutes of me confirming my order! Never have I seen such a swift proccessing!

good job Etrailer, you just got a customer for life!

by:

Great products made in the usa! The ordering tools on the website made it easy and the shipping was very fast. I will always order from etrailer for all my trailering needs.

by:

Worth the money. Normally tow about a 700 lb load and it definitely made a difference. No more bumping/jarring during start/stop.

by:

These cushioned ball mounts work great. We had a 4" on our previous motorhome and purchased the 6" drop for our new motorhome. We tow a 7000 pound enclosed trailer and the mount works perfectly.

by:

I sought this concept out to cure how rough my trailers were pulling behind my Yukon. This made a huge difference when I upgraded to it from a standard, non-shock absorbing receiver. I use this with a 21' boat & a 18' flatbed - would recommend it highly.

by:

Perfect drop for Suburban pulling horse-trailer. Excellent product. Lightning fast shipping. Pleasure to do business with 5 stars.

by:

Excellent product, arrived fast. Had a similar cushion hitch on my 1500, but needed a larger drop hitch for my 2500 and this fit the bill perfectly.

by:

Ordering was easy working with a person that was knowedlegable of your products. The product is what I needed, delivery was fast, and Quality is good. THANKS for a HITCH made in the USA.

by:

Hitch came relatively fast looks well-made haven't got to try it yet but seems to be everything I want in a hitch.

by:

My second cushioned receiver (needed a different drop).. noticeable difference in towing quality. No more clunks and jerky start and stops!! and must be easier on drivetrain also..

by:

Cilass V works great just the right drop for dodge ram 2500

by:

The hitch was great, the cushioned hitch is the only way to go, the delivery was fast

by:

Works fine as far as I can tell

by:

Great product, very pleased with the construction and durability of this cushioned hitch. Would recommend this product to others.

by:

It looks great, but I’ve never used one of these cushion ball mounts. I’m anxious to try this out. Hopefully Incan provide a glowing followup review. :-)

by:

I HAVE HAD THIS TYPE OF HITCH IN THE PAST AND FIND IT
WORKS SUPER. THIS ONE FROM etrailer LOOKS VERY WELL
MADE AND I'M SURE WILL WORK EVEN BETTER.

by:

These cushioned hitches work great. Very cost effective solution.

Thanks

  • Choosing the Right Ball Mount for 2 Different Trailers and a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 w/2-1/2 Inch Hitch
First, I would use a 2-1/2 inch ball mount for the 2-1/2 inch hitch on your 2013 Dodge Ram 2500. Going with the matching size will fit better than using a reducer sleeve. Normally I would say an adjustable ball mount is the way to go except you have reservations about them. If you change your mind I have included a link to the adjustable ball mounts that fit a 2-1/2 inch receiver. For fixed ball mounts you will need to do some measuring to determine the correct rise or drop you will need...

  • Will Curt Hitch Ball 40038 Work with Cushioned Ball Mount # AMSC6
The Curt 2" Hitch Ball # 40038 that you referenced will work perfectly with the Cushioned Ball Mount # AMSC6. This hitch ball features the needed 1" diameter shank and it's plenty long enough for a secure attachment. If you had a level setup with your 5-1/4" drop ball mount this 6" drop # AMSC6 is the better choice over the 4" drop model. This is because the rear of your tow vehicle is going to sag/drop just a bit when the trailer is hooked up, which will bring you closer to that original...

  • Version of Convert a Ball Cushioned Ball Mount with 6 inch Drop That Fits 2.5 inch Hitch
Yes, the # AMSC6HD could be used with a hitch reducer sleeve like you mentioned but since these types of adapters can cause a bit of movement your best option would be the version of this ball mount that is designed to fit 2-1/2 inch hitches directly part # AMSCV-6. This has the same 6 inch drop but has a higher 18,000 lb towing capacity.

  • Will a Cushioned Ball Mount Work with Surge Trailer Brakes
The cushion inside of the Convert-A-Ball cushioned ball mount # AMSC4 would have only a slight affect on the surge coupler on your trailer. You may not even notice it. The cushion is very dense and the more pressure that is put on it the firmer it gets. It would take more force to compress that cushion than to actuate the surge coupler. Cushioned ball mount # AMSC4 has a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop but there are other options if you need a different rise or drop to tow the trailer level: #...

It really doesn't hurt to have a ball mount with more capacity than needed. If anything it's just added insurance that the ball mount wouldn't fail. Your Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty, Adjustable Mud Flap System # ERT00108 requires 1 inch of clearance on the shank of the ball mount to fit like what you see in the picture I attached. That means that you would need to have at most 3 inches from your hitch pin hole on your 2016 Ford F-150 to the end of the hitch opening for the Rocktamer to fit on the AMSC6. The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Ball Mount for 2 Inch Hitches # AMSC6 that you referenced can be used with a surge coupler for hydraulic brakes, but you may notice a difference in how the trailer tows. • How to Pick Out Ball Mount for 2014 Toyota Sienna Towing Boat Trailer
I wasn't able to find the coupler height of the trailer you are interested in so your best option would be to contact who you are buying it from and have them measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler lip with the trailer level. When we installed the Draw Tite # 76112 on a 2014 Toyota Sienna like yours we found that it measured 12 inches from the ground to the top of the hitch opening. If you needed to stick with a 10,000 lb towing capacity, then you would need a new ball mount, # C45338 for 8 inches of drop, # AMSC6 for 6 inches of drop or if four inches of drop was needed, # AMSC4. • Recommendation to Help Back and Forth Movement in Trailer Hitch While Towing
To help alleviate the back and forth chucking you are experiencing with your 2 inch receiver there are a couple of things I recommend doing. First is to use a cushioned ball mount, the Convert-A-Ball, which is designed to reduce this type of movement and additional road shock with its polyurethane cushioning interior; if you take a look at the accompanying diagram it displays the cushioned inside of the ball mount. I will list the different rise and drop available for this ball mount below....

  • Ball Mount with 6 inch Drop and Interchangeable Ball Set Recommendation
The thickness of the sway control bracket part # RP26003 that you would need is 3/8 of an inch. The ball mount you are interested in part # AMSC6 calls for a shank that is 2-1/8 inches long. So the interchangeable ball set you would need would be the # 900b as it comes with a 2-1/2 inch long shank.

  • How Do You Orient Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount AMSC6HD To Be Used In Rise Position?
You are correct. To get the 4-3/4" rise you need with the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 4-3/4" Rise, 6" Drop - 14,000 lbs # AMSC6HD you were looking at you will insert the ball mount so the portion that the hitch ball installs into will be point up. You will need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank so I recommend the 2" # A-90 or 2-5/16" # 19286. I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
