Question:
Im getting a little bit of chucking between my hitch and 2 inch receiver. It seems to be more forward/backward movement when accelerating and braking rather than side to side movement. What product do you recommend to help alleviate this problem? Thank you.

To help alleviate the back and forth chucking you are experiencing with your 2 inch receiver there are a couple of things I recommend doing. First is to use a cushioned ball mount, the Convert-A-Ball, which is designed to reduce this type of movement and additional road shock with its polyurethane cushioning interior; if you take a look at the accompanying diagram it displays the cushioned inside of the ball mount. I will list the different rise and drop available for this ball mount below.
The other thing you can use, so long as your 2 inch hitch has a ring or collar around it, is the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061. This is an anti-rattle device that hooks around the collar of your hitch receiver and over the shank of the ball mount, as you can see in the accompanying photo. I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
Here are the different rise and drops for the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" Hitches:
- Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop # AMSC2
- Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount 2-3/4" Rise, 4" Drop # AMSC4
- Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount 4-3/4" Rise, 6" Drop # AMSC6
- Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount 6-3/4" Rise, 8" Drop # AMSC8
- Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount 8-3/4" Rise, 10" Drop # AMSC10
- Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount 10-3/4" Rise, 12" Drop # AMSC12
With these ball mounts you will also need the appropriate hitch ball with a 1" diameter shank, the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # C40002 or 2" Hitch Ball # 40038; to lock the ball mount to your hitch you can use the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98880.
