Today we're going to take a look at the 7/8 inch equalizer bolt with the castle nut and cotter pin. Now this part will secure an equalizer to the center hanger of a tandem or triple axle trailer suspension system. It includes the castle nut and the cotter pin to lock it into place. A few specs on this, the length on the bolt from the underneath of the head to the end is 4 11/16. The diameter is 7/8 of an inch. I just wanted to show you how this would work. We pulled an equalizer right here.
Here's the center hanger. If you notice on the center hanger it does have a square hole on this side and a round hole on this side. You just want to make sure on the bolt there's a square end right here. You make sure that goes through so when you drop it over there, run this through the hanger and the equalizer, you can see that it'll line up and then just take your castle nut, put it on there, and then once you get it tightened down run your cotter pin through there to lock it all into place. Take that off.

4-11/16" Long suspension bolt comes with a locking castle nut and a cotter pin to secure equalizer to hanger.These bolts got our PJ dump trailer with slider springs rolling again. While drilling them for grease fittings, we noticed they are less hard than the originals.
That being said, they probably will outlast the trailer.

A completely new set, bolt, nut, and cotter pin is a big advantage. Everything is high quality with precision machined threads that makes installing these a breeze. Combine with the TRBU13871 7/8 ID bushings for a complete equalizer pivot overhaul.
These are DRY equalizer bolts. Grease-able WET bolts are available and have a zerk fitting on the head. It's easy to miss this when ordering. No idea why there is even a DRY bolt option.
