The Curt Echo keeps the cabin clean by mounting the main unit under the dash. It measures just 3-3/8" long, 3" wide, and 7/8" thick, so it tucks neatly out of view and doesn’t take up knee room or interfere with airbags. Once installed, it’s completely hidden—no bulky controller box cluttering up your interior—while still giving you full control through your smartphone.
With built-in Bluetooth, this controller connects directly to your smartphone through the OneControl app. You can fine-tune brake output, adjust sensitivity, and even hit manual override right from your screen without extra knobs or switches. The app also shows a live brake power indicator so you always know how much braking force is being applied. If the Bluetooth signal ever drops, the controller keeps working safely using your last saved settings.
The internal 3-axis accelerometer automatically senses how hard you’re braking and matches trailer braking to your input. Light brake pressure gives gentle trailer braking; heavier braking brings stronger response. This proportional control keeps everything smooth and steady while reducing wear on both tow vehicle and trailer brakes. It’s designed for trailers with 1 to 4 axles and works with electric trailer brakes for consistent performance.
If you tow more than one trailer, the OneControl app lets you save multiple trailer profiles so you can switch setups with just a swipe. The included plug-and-play wiring harness connects straight into the factory port under the dash, no wire splicing required. Mount it with the supplied adhesive pad or zip ties, pair it to your phone in about five seconds, and you’re ready to roll.
LED indicators on the main unit make troubleshooting easy by showing connection status at a glance. Built-in reverse polarity and short circuit protection help guard your vehicle’s electrical system during every trip. With a limited lifetime warranty on the controller and a 1-year warranty on the harness, this compact system delivers reliable braking control without complicating your setup.

Im still very happy with the product i purchased. Works great!! I pull a 3 horse gooseneck aluminum trailer behind my 02 Chevy 2500 4x4 and have no problems stopping even fully loaded down.. thank you for checking in with me..

Still 5 stars, lots of trips including a long tow of over 5000 miles. Consistently worked flawlessly. Mild annoyance that they changed the app but once I learned how the new app worked it continues to function flawlessly.

I reached out to Curt about the problems with the new app. They advised that the new app runs the same as the old app it has to run in the foreground unless they are using the button which is the same as the old app. They wanted to know if you were having trouble getting past that screen. Which type of cell phone do you have and which IOS are you using?
