This hitch is built for real-world use, giving you a 2" x 2" receiver opening rated for 5,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 500 lbs tongue weight. That means it’s solid enough for towing small trailers or carrying bike racks and cargo carriers without flexing. The square-tube design keeps everything stable under load, so you can haul gear or tow with confidence every time you hitch up.
You don’t need a shop to get this hitch installed. It bolts directly to the frame with no drilling or welding required. Everything you need comes in the box, including the complete hardware kit and instructions. The precision, robotic welds make sure the bolt holes line up cleanly so you’re not fighting alignment during install.
The gloss black powder coat is applied over a rust-resistant base layer using a co-cured Bonderite process inside and out. That gives the steel a tough barrier against corrosion and helps it keep its finish after years of exposure to road grime and weather. The open-back receiver design also makes it easy to clean out dirt and debris that build up over time.
Only the receiver tube is visible once installed, keeping a clean look under the bumper instead of showing a bulky cross tube. The concealed main body gives your vehicle an OE-style appearance while still delivering full Class III performance every time you hook up your trailer or mount your rack.

Going strong! We carry a bike rack 247365 on this hitch. It even got hit in an extremely minor rear-ending incident and I accidentally backed it into a snow bank, and the hitch is going strong.

Looks like an OEM hitch and functions well. We take our bikes everywhere we travel. Don’t pull a trailer, but for us this hitch put the U back in SUV for us. Anyone who has a 2019 450hL with the spare tire underneath the back, this hitch plaits like a glove using the existing tapped and threaded holes. Good job Curt!!

Year out, and we have been using the hitch a bunch. No problems to report. It has been working well. Note that risers and tensioners work well with this product to reduce the wiggle some end devices have when installed into the receiver. This has nothing to do with the hitchs design but provides stability and height. Dont forget to calculate your tongue weight correctly based on these add-ons.
