Features to know about

Brighter, Longer-Lasting, and Efficient: 6-Diode LED Design

This light keeps things simple and reliable. With six built-in LEDs under an amber lens, it shines bright while drawing just 0.040 amps at 12.8V. The LEDs last up to 50 times longer than old incandescent bulbs and use less power, so you get a crisp, visible light that won’t strain your electrical system. No bulbs to replace and no fragile filaments to worry about—just a long run of dependable output.

Better Visibility Without Extra Parts: Built-In Reflex Reflector

The integrated reflex reflector means you don’t need to add a separate reflector to stay compliant or visible when parked. It’s molded right into the acrylic lens, giving off a clean look while improving nighttime safety. Whether you’re using it as a clearance or side marker light, it does double duty by marking your trailer even when the lights are off.

Easy Mounting That Fits Right: Surface-Mount Design

Installation is straightforward. The rectangular housing measures 4" long x 1-1/2" tall x 15/16" thick, with mounting holes spaced 3" apart on center. The lens pops off so you can screw the base in place, then snap it back on for a tight fit. Because it’s a surface-mount design, there’s no need to cut large holes or modify your panel—just mount and connect.

Simple Two-Wire Hookup: Reliable Power and Ground

Wiring this one is easy to understand even if you’ve swapped lights before. It uses a black power lead that connects to the running light circuit and a white ground wire that attaches to clean metal or ties into your trailer’s main ground. This solid connection helps prevent the flicker or failure that can happen with poor hardware grounds, so your light works right every time.

Steady Output Where You Need It: P2-Rated Beam Pattern

The P2 rating gives this light a clear beam that spreads 45 degrees to each side for a total of 90 degrees of coverage—ideal for use as either a clearance or side marker light. It’s bright from straight on but focused enough that it won’t wash out your surroundings. For dependable visibility along the edges of your trailer, it hits that perfect balance between focused and wide illumination.

I really do not care for these - they are much dimmer than the lights I replaced. They also require modifications so that the vehicle does not complain about the wiring.

by:

Led trailer lights fit perfect, easy to install and arrived in a couple of days.
Lights are clear and bright and have had no issues since installed.

by:

We ordered LED lights for our Hallmark trailer, we received email confirmation immediately and they upgraded our shipping. We received our order the following Friday, everything was in perfect shape! Thank you.

by:

Decent light, feels like good quality, lens is a nice, thick acrylic and has a nice tight fit to the backing. My only beef is that the wiring on all 9 lights I ordered was pushed through a side hole, instead of the recessed center hole that was clearly designed for channeling the wires? Otherwise, i'd have given it 5 stars. Most importantly (for my situation) I also like that these lights come a "single wire" design on the red, and a 2-wire design on the amber... EXACTLY as my trailer is wired.

by:

I bought this a year ago to replace a burnt out running board light from another company that no longer makes them. Still working great.

Its still working great after a year. I may be ordering more to replace the older leds which are starting to fail.

by:

Received product in a timely manner which is great. Product as advertised on the computer and ordering from E-trailer was very simple and fast. The led marker lights fit in with my led taillights. 5 stars to e-trailer

by:

We changed our 18' flatbed trailer over to LED lights and added these at the front corners so the trailer can be seen at night while turning corners. The LED's inside are amber colored and are pretty bright.

by:

My husband and I refurbished an older aluminum trailer. We ordered practically everything from etrailer. The lights were quality and service is always great.

by:

These were replacement lights from the original equipment. They have worked well and are much brighter than the original.

The ones I have installed continue to work as expected and without problems.

by:

These led marker lights lined up perfectly for my motor home and are nice and bright. I would recommend not having the lens installed on the body when shipped. Taking apart the light per the video left mars from my screwdriver no matter how careful I was, they are extremely tight.

by:

Used these to replace the front marker lights on my Lance trailer. They are actually a perfect match for the lights that came on the trailer and were an easy install and much brighter. There is an extra hole in the base plate of the light that I drilled out and ran the wires through instead of their original hole which made it so I didn't have to drill a new hole in the trailer. As always fast shipping with etrailer.

by:

The trailer marker lamps worked great. The trailer looks like a Christmas tree when it is running down the road. The best part was being able to run all the lights off one circuit. LEDs rule.

by:

We have upgraded all our trailers to LED. This is the first light we have replaced in 7 years. We use etrailer for all our trailer lighting.

by:

The cover almost fit perfectly.
Well
built. Held up well to a harsh winter. A surprising find was that it keeps our fifth wheel dust free on the inside as well as the outside.
well worth the expense.

Fit perfectly and easy to install. Works great, Cant tell that its a different part from the OEM

by:

ordered 2 lights and both broke. Cheap plastic. There is no place for the wire to go except against the trailer frame and when you tighten the cheap plastic falls apart and pulls the screw out. Had to use an epoxy to repair both.

You have to drill a hole for the wires. These lights a called surface mount for a reason.

by:

Light worked as it was suppose to work, thanks for the help getting up an running again.

by:

Order was quickly processed and arrived in quality time. Part was as described and with little altering it worked to my expectations. I had to drill a small hole near the center of the light so it would lay flat against the fiberglass on my 40 foot 5th wheel. E-Trailer was the only site that I could find a light of that size to match the TMC GLO BRITE 126Y light on my RV. Only difference was the number and arrangement of diodes. Light replaced had 3 diodes in a line and MCL44AB has 6 arranged in the center of the light. Light works great but design needs to be altered so that wire can be directed towards the center.

by:

These are perfect replacements for the clearance lights on our RV trailer. They are bright, match to old footprint perfectly, and look even nicer. Every light works.

My comments still stand. I am happy with the purchases.

by:

I brought this as a replacement for a good bride 126R/126Y on my drivers side run board. It's a great replacement. At a distance, you can't tell.

The light pattern is slightly different, but this light was a better deal than replacing 5 other lights. I happy with it

The lights are still working very well, just as they were new !!

by:

etrailer is my go to place for trailer parts. They do everything right. This light works great and is just what I was expecting. There was one minor problem. This light was the updated LED version of the 8 year old lights that came on my trailer. The lenses were even interchangeable after 8 years. This version has no room for the wires behind the surface mounted light and require a hole through the trailer body exactly where the wires exit the back of the light. This required hole is in a different place than the old lights and required drilling a new hole in the trailer. No big deal, but having enough room to house the wire in the back of the light would be more user friendly.

I am facing the same issue on my 1983 Aljo Aly. If the backplate was molded to provide enough of a stand-off to accommodate a wire nut it would be perfect! Another option would be a rubber gasket thick enough to accomplish the same thing plus seal the back of the light.

by:

Seems to be working good even though we are not using the trailer much.

by:

Looks like it will be a perfect replacement.
Wish it came equipped with a neoprene gasket or 3M double sided automotive type tape.

by:

This is a perfect replacement for the globrite 118a/117r clearance light. Same size, same mounting holes, same look. 6 diodes. Easy install. Great service.

by:

Not thrilled with out having a notch or provision for the wiring to pass through. If you screw it down the wire will get pinched. The wires should come out of the middle in the back of the lamp not so close to the edge. Or some type of seal or gasket to protect the rear of the lamp from moisture getting in it. There is no photo of the back of the lamp in the sales video. Except the one when they are all thrown in the box.

  • Installing LED Clearance Lights With 2 Wires
Two-wire LED clearance lights such as the Red # MCL32RB or the Amber # MCL44AB have one wire for the power lead and one ground wire. The wire that was attached to your old clearance lights will be spliced to the power wire of your new lights. The black is power and white is ground for these lights. If you take a look at the video I have linked you can see how these lights are installed. I have also attached a couple of links to help articles on trailer wiring which you should find useful.

  • How to Install New Trailer Lights that Only Have One Wire
A trailer light that only has 1 wire means that it grounds through its mounting hardware. The single wire is the power wire. The best surface to ground a light to is steel. If steel is not available in the area the light installs you can attach a ring terminal and wire to the grounding stud and attach the other end of the wire to the original ground wire from the old light.

  • Can Single Wire Clearance Light Be installed To Replace 2-Wire Light On Travel Trailer
If a trailer clearance light like part # MCL44AB1 is used, the one wire is the power wire for the light and the light will be grounded through the mounting hardware. If you want to use the ground wire that you have on your trailer you can install part # MCL44AB. This has a 2-wire install, where one is for the power and the second wire is for the ground.

  • Using A Marker Light With Two Wires To Replace Old Light That Only Had One Wire
Since your old trailer light only utilized one wire that means the one wire was used for power and the old light got it's ground through the mounting hardware. Since the new light like # MCL44AB has two wires, one for power and one for ground, you'll just need to connect the black wire for power to your trailer, and then run the white wire to your frame and ground it.

The main connector grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. The...
