The white wire with the ring terminal attached to the LED Trailer Clearance, Side Marker Light # MCL44AB needs to be grounded to your trailer's frame. It is typically a good idea to run all of the light grounds back to the main trailer ground.
The black wire on the light will be spliced into the trailer's running light circuit. Traditionally, the brown wire on your trailer is the circuit the black wire will be spliced into, but using a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, is helpful to ensure you have the correct wire. To test the wire, you will want to hook the alligator clip to a grounded location then pinch the wire in the hook. Without engaging the brake or either turn signal, the circuit tester should light up when you've found the running lights.
I have attached an article on trailer wiring for you.
