Optronics MCL0032ABB LED Marker Clearance Light w/ Reflex Reflector Diagram

P2-Rated Lights

Diagram of light spread for P2 rated light

A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Surface-Mount Light

Surface Mount Trailer Light Installation Diagram

Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

these work but seem to be old stock, picked up some optronics from amazon and some from etrailer in amber and red, the price was the same or cheaper on amazon but those all had 3 diodes, my mistake because I thought they were the same but I would not have purchased these if I had realized

The good news is that this light isnt old stock; this one is meant to have only one diode. The bad news is that part # MCL32ABB might have been the light you meant to buy. If you would like to make a return or purchase part # MCL32ABB, I can have our customer service team reach out to you.

These lights were purchased to replace the incandescent ones ones that were on the cargo trailer as the tail lights were already LEDs. I have purchased many items from etrailer.com in the past and have had excellent results with everything.

  • Replacement LED Marker Lights for a 2009 Timberlodge Camper
Thanks for providing the picture. It looks like your current marker light is around 3 3/4" long and 1 1/2"- 2" wide and has mounting holes 3" apart. While we don't have anything in those exact dimensions, we do have several that are slightly larger so when you replace yours you will be able to completely cover the space the old lights used to be. I am slightly concerned about the width of your current light and how it fits in the groves on the side of your camper. I am going to recommend...

  • Recommended Wiring and Lights for Utility Trailer
I'm assuming you want to replace everything here so I will start off with a 4-way. I recommend using the Hopkins Endurance 4-Way Flat Trailer Wiring Harness - 30' Long # HM48265. This will give you a lot of wire to work with so you can hook up all of your lights. This uses your typical 18 gauge wire for the lights and 16 gauge for the ground. If you need additional wire you can use the # SWC97FR or # DW02923-1. You could use the Self-Stripping Connector with Waterproof Sealant - 14-18...

  • Installation of Optronics LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light With Yellow and White Wire
I haven't seen the yellow and white before on the # MCL0032ABB but that is likely correct. Yellow is power and white is ground. The easiest way is to test it out. Since you are installing several lights I would go ahead and hook one up and make sure it works before finishing all of the others. If it does not, simply reverse the wires. It won't hurt anything if you wire it the wrong way initially.

  • Are There Replacement Lenses For Optronics Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Lights
Hey Johnny, Unfortunately, the replacement lenses for the Optronics Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light w/ Reflector - Incandescent have been discontinued. Reason is the amber version of that light is already discontinued and the red version is in the midst of being discontinued. So the best I can offer are replacement lights which are similar in size, the 4" x 2" Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light w/ Reflector - Amber # MCL0032ABB and Red # MCL0032RBB.

  • Replacing Clearance Lights On A 2020 Grand Design Imagine 2979RL
I can certainly point you in the right direction. Looking at these 2020 Grand Design Imagine campers, the clearance light appears to be very similar to the Optronics # MCL0032ABB. This is a 4" long 2" tall and 1" thick amber clearance light with a black base. We also have it available with a while base # MC32AB. If you can measure one of your clearance lights, you may find that this light is virtually identical. If you find that a different size light is needed, feel free to send me some...

  • Replacing A Peterson 343A Side Marker Light
Though we do not carry the replacement Peterson 343A light the closest replacement option that we have is The LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light # MCL0032ABB.The light is 4 inches long by 2 inches tall by 1 inch thick. The distance between the mounting holes is 3 inches on center. So you will have to drill new holes for the new light. The light has a durable acrylic snap-on lens and a black ABS housing. • Should Side Clearance Lights on Boat Trailer Act As Turn Signals
It sounds like you have something like the Amber Lens # MCL0032ABB at the front and the Red Lens # MCL0032RBB at the back of your fenders. Normally these lights are designed to switch on and off with your headlights since they are for clearance purposes. Some trailers may be a bit more fancy and have amber lights that act as both running lights and turn signals but for a boat trailer your amber lights would more likely than not be on the same circuit as your running lights so it sounds...
