Will Optronics LED Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light Ground Wire Need to Be Attached
Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/27/2024 >
Question:
The trailer I have now only has the white power line ran to it. If I buy new running lights that have the power and ground line coming out the back do I need to hook up both in order for it to work or do I just hook up the power and cut the ground off?

Hi Shawn; you will need to attach the white ground wire on the # MCL44AB and similar lights. If you cut it off the light would not work properly. The light you have now grounds through the mounting hardware which is why you only see a single wire.
