Features to know about

Quick Trailer Positioning: Swivel Design Makes Movement Simple

Getting a trailer into tight storage spaces or angled driveways doesn’t have to be a hassle. The Dutton-Lainson Pull Pin, Easy Swivel Trailer Jack rotates out of the way fast and locks back down securely when you need it. The pull-pin lets the jack swing up smoothly, so you can move or park your trailer by hand without dragging or fighting resistance. It’s a handy setup when you’re working in compact areas or need to change direction quickly.

Solid Lift for Everyday Use: 2,000 lb Capacity with 10" Lift

This jack gives you the right amount of muscle for steady hitching and leveling. With a 2,000 lb capacity and 10" of lift, it handles most small to mid-size trailers with ease. The 18" overall height and 11-1/2" bracket height keep it balanced and stable during cranking. Side-wind operation makes fine adjustments smooth and controlled, whether you’re setting up at a campsite or swapping your trailer into storage.

Built to Last: Weld-On Bracket and Matte Black Finish

Rough terrain and weather exposure won’t wear this one down easily. The included weld-on bracket and 2-1/4" diameter snap ring make for a secure, long-term mount. Its matte black finish adds a layer of protection against the elements while keeping a clean look. Once welded on, the jack stays solid and dependable through repeated use and travel.

Simple, Reliable Operation: Manual Control You Can Count On

No wiring or motors to worry about here. The manual side-wind handle lets you raise and lower smoothly without overcomplicating things. It’s a straightforward design that just works, ready whenever you need to lift or position your trailer. And with Dutton-Lainson’s 3-year limited warranty behind it, you get confidence that it’s made to last through years of towing and storage.

Video Transcript for Review of the Pull Pin, Easy Swivel Trailer Jack with Foot

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Dutton-Lainson-Goldenrod Easy Swivel Sidewind Trailer Jack with Foot. This Goldenrod Swivel Utility Jack is going to let you raise and lower the tongue of your trailer so you can connect and disconnect your trailer coupler to and from your hitch ball. And this jack features a lift capacity of 2,000 pounds. This is made here in the USA, and the outer and inner tubes are constructed of heavy gauge steel.

The heavy duty ACME screw, and miter gears are totally enclosed in the outer tube to help protect it from sand and dirt. And the jack itself is protected by a nice matte powder coated black finish. Now this does have a swivel design that's going to let you swing the jack up for storage along the trailer frame, and then you can bring it back down for use. And as you can see here, this does include a convenient, easy to operate half inch spring loaded pole pin that's going to secure and release this jack. This is a weld-on bracket that is included here.

And you can see when I pull the pin to release the bracket, how the bracket itself swivels independently from the jack. So when this bracket is welded to your trailer jack or to your trailer rather, you're just going to pull the pin, and then you can rotate that jack up in a stowed position, and then easily bring it down, bring it back down for use. Now you'll notice that our bracket has four holes in it, and that's going to allow our pin to engage in whatever hole is going to work best for your particular application whether you want the jack facing towards the front or if you want it facing towards the back pointing towards the rear of the trailer. So again, very easy, very convenient to use. The pin is spring loaded.

Looking at the measurement of the bracket itself, we are four and a half inches square and this sidewind handle has an extra heavy screw drive, and it's ergonomic. It has an ergonomic molded handle grip with a textured surface. So this is gonna be very easy to hold onto, especially if it's damp weather. And let me flip this over here, just so you can see our foot plate. The foot plate is welded on, so it's not gonna go anywhere.

It's gonna be very durable and strong. Looking at the length, we're sitting right at seven inches long. The width four inches wide, so you've got a nice wide base there. And then let me make sure that I have this fully retracted, and just give you some other measurements here. I want to give you the bracket height, when this is fully retracted. So I think I can do this with my ruler here. Measuring from the base that this is sitting on all the way to the center of our bracket. As you can see, we're sitting right at 11 and a half inches when it's fully retracted. Now when you have this fully extended, you're gonna get a travel of 10 inches. So when this is fully extended, again from the base to the center of our bracket, this is gonna be sitting at 21 and a half inches on that fully extended height. And then the overall height of this jack, when it's fully retracted from the top to the bottom, we're sitting right at 18 inches tall when this is fully retracted overall. Well that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I launch a couple times a week at a low-angle saltwater ramp. At certain tides, the tongue jack lamentably gets submerged. I have found the D-L to be the most reliable and durable TJ that I've tried. Also love that I can rebuild/regrease it and replace the mitre gears.

Works as advertised for raft trailer with tongue mounted motorcycle rack.
by:
It's easy to move my boat with this trailer Jack.
by:
This was a life saver. Would had liked a center and not a sidewind but it works fine.
by:
Great trailer jack. The only thing I wish it had is a grease zirk to keep ot lubed.
by:
American made quality. Wheel holding up well after 1 year.

Happy to hear that! USA! [Eagle screech of freedom!!]

by:
The jack appears to be pretty solid, all the mounting hardware was included. It lifts my trailer tongue weight of 560 lbs. as it should however I suspect that a full 1500 lbs. of lift would require some muscle to turn. I deducted one star for the jack handle which in my opinion is a bit chintzy and the wheel diameter is actually 7.75" which is no big deal.
by:
Great jack and easy to mount!
by:
I purchased the Trailer Jack (1500 Lb) as a replacement for the one on my 2005 boat trailer (800 Lb). I just finished a simulated extension to make sure of the length. ALL went well and I am glad the conversation with salesperson was done. He knew the products. I like my new Jack. Will install when cooler, 89 Deg now. Semper Fi

Very glad to hear this jack worked well for you! The Semper Fi caught my eye. My youngest brother just graduated from boot camp and is leaving for California today to start training before he heads to Florida for his more specialized training in the Marine Corps. Are you a Veteran or are you currently enlisted?

@BrookeM Yes I am a Veteran.  I entered the Marine Corps 26 January 1960 as a HS Dropout.  Retired 31 August 1981 as a Captain.  Rose in the Enlisted ranks to Gunnery Sergeant and was Commissioned in June of 1975 under, then, the Marine Corps Limited Duty Officer Temporary (LDOT) Program.  I was a helicopter mechanic till Commission and then became an Aircraft  Maintenance Officer.  I did 3 tours on Okinawa during my career and was stationed in California, with the exception of schooling, my whole career.  As you can see I am 82 years of age. I wish your brother a successful tour/career. Sounds as if he will be training in an electronics specialty in Florida, maybe aviation. Thanks for the contact!! Semper Fi

@GeorgeD Wow, what a history! I bet you have a ton more amazing stories to tell! You said you had three tours in Okinawa, and I think my brother requested to be sent to Japan somewhere, too - though I am not sure where exactly. He will be doing Cyber Security training in Florida as long as nothing changes from now till then. He had originally wanted to do Cyber Linguistics, but they needed him elsewhere :) Anyway, I wanted to make sure to say thank you for your service. I am so proud to be an American and I know my Freedom isn't free. Thank you for the years of service you have given to this beautiful country. Hope you had a happy Veterans Day!

My trailer jack is working just like the day I installed it. I am totally satisfied with it and recommend it highly!! AND I have recommended it to other boat owners I know!! Semper Fi to all the Marines and Happy 250th Birthday!!

Installed and worked well. Very heavy duty.

Purchased to replace the broken jack on a 1997 Coleman Destiny Taos pop-up I am rebuilding. I chose to use this bolt on on the opposite side of the original welded jack so I can convert the old jack into a swinging standing foot, or replace it later with an auxiliary weld o jack. Extremely easy installation for this jack. The method of attachment allows me to move the jack forward or backward on the tongue as I see fit. Crank is smooth and easy. Spring-loaded pullout bolt allows for very easy swivel. The original jack had a single wheel and was for a tongue weight of #500, while this new jack has a double wheel and allows for a tongue weight of #1500. As a result, moving the trailer by hand is like pushing butter. As always, the folks at etrailer did a great job of providing information, photos, and videos, to allow me to make the proper choice of item, and they did a great job in contacting me and shipping this to me.
by:
The overall build appears hefty.Tilt works well and stays at 90 degrees when supporting 3 snowmobiles on my dual axle trailer. My 13 year old granddaughter can one hand the crank when raising the trailer with the Jack. Not sure how well the double wheels will work when pushing the trailer in the garage to store but so far no problems. One upgrade they could do is us a better quality handle on the crank. This Jack came assembled!!Handle and wheels on.Quick install!!!
by:
Easy to install and works as expected.
by:
this is a well-built trailer jack and the exact replacement for my Aluna trailer, which only used high quality components in construction. Worth the higher cost for sure.
by:
I have had this trailer jack for about a year now and it’s been great. I can easily move the trailer over a rock/gravel surface with little or no problem. I like the double wheels and strength of the jack. This is a good one!
by:
This double wheel jack was the only one i could find that would replace the jack on my Ranger Bass Boat, The Ranger has a welded swivel mount and with somecareful thought it is a relacement for that jack using thr welded portion of the original.

Great, hope this helped other guys with ranger trail trailers with the welded plate

by:
Fits as needed
My old single wheel jack was not enough
I have a sand car in the trailer it needed to be well made. It is. Time will be the true test.
by:
Rolls easier then a single wheel but the wheels don’t turn quite as well as I'd like them to. But the best I could find.
by:
Works very well.

  • Looking For Trailer Jack Where Foot Can Be Swapped Out For Caster Wheel
Hey Scott, thanks for reaching out. I like where you're headed, but unfortunately, we don't have a jack that checks every one of those boxes. The Dutton-Lainson # DL22686 is unique because of its black finish and weld-on design, but it isn't designed to accept a caster wheel. On the flip side, the Bulldog # MJ-1206B only accepts a caster wheel, but it has the clamp-on mount instead of the weld-on collar you're looking for. The best option I can recommend is the Trailer Valet JXS Drill...

  • Recommended Bolt On Side Winding Jack With A Footplate
The closest option we have is the Fulton F2 Swing-Up Jack w/ Pivoting Footplate - 4"-5" Frames, Sidewind, Bolt On - 2,000 lb # F1413230134 which has a bolt on mount that fits 4" to 5" frames, and has a foot plate like you were wanting. This option has the same 2000lb capacity as the # DL22686 you were looking at without needing to weld anything. I included a video of the # F1413230134 for you to take a look at.
