Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at a Curt round snap rings swivel trailer jack. This jack features a capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. It has a top wind handle that allows for easy raising and lowering of your trailer jack. And that has a claw handle design, that provides a comfortable easy grip. This handle is able to rotate over to a stowed position. That way it's out of the way when it's not in use.
When it comes to installing this to your trailer, it's a weld on installation. It comes with the raw steel bracket that welds directly to your trailer frame. This is a swivel bracket. This allows the jack to fully swing up and out of the way. That'd be parallel with the trailer. When it's not in use, or when you're in travel and then easily rotate back down into an in use position.
It's got this plunger pin right here, that's spring loaded. It's very easy to operate. That allows the unit to swivel, which again would allow you to rotate the jack up parallel to the trailer frame when in travel. Then back down into an in use position. Then that pull pin keeps the jack securely locked in place.
Located right here is a built in greaser. This allows for easy maintenance. Just hook up a grease gun and pump in the grease to keep the internal components lubricated and working as they're designed to.At the base, we're going to have a welded on foot plate. Now the foot plate is great. It spreads out the applied weight.
Especially helpful on softer surfaces to prevent sinking. That foot plate, taken a measurement of that, going edge to edge this direction measures about seven and a half inches. Then going this direction, it's going to give us a measurement of about three and 3/4 of an inch to three and 7/8 of an inch. Now I did some measurements for you. With the jack in the fully retracted position, I took a measurement from the bottom of the foot plate to the center of this mount. When I did that, I got a measurement of 16 inches. I also did that in the full extended position and got a measurement of 31 inches. If you subtract those two measurements, you're going to get 15 inches, which is the amount of travel that this jack provides. It's got really nice easy motion when raising and lowering the unit. No kinking or binding. It's just got nice easy operation. This is the fully retracted position. I also took a measurement of the lip of this bracket. Now this bracket right here again is the piece that gets welded to the trailer frame. Edge to edge that lip measures four and 5/8 of an inch long. Then the depth from the back of the plate to the outer edge of the lip is about 13/16 of an inch deep. The handle radius is about seven and 5/8 of an inch. That measurement was taken from the center of where it mounts to the outer edge of that claw grip. Now the overall height of the unit when it's fully retracted, bottom to this point here measured 21 and 3/4 of an inch. Fully extended measured 36 and 3/4 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Curt round snap ring swivel trailer jack.
