Video Transcript for Talking Pre-Greased Trailer Hub and Drum Assemblies with TruRyde

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here from Etrailer and today we are in Fort Worth, Texas at the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers Convention 2026, where we have quite a few of our vendors that we have at etrailer. And let's put a face to the name of those companies and also see what products they offer. I'm here with Ted from TRP and Ted, what is TRP We are one of the leading suppliers of axle and suspension components for the light and medium duty trailer market. So we supply axle manufacturers, trailer manufacturers, and aftermarket distributors with everything you need to make an axle or repair an axle. And you guys are based in Elkart We are corporately based in Elkhart with the second location here in Dallas-Fort Worth. Awesome, so, yeah, I mean home of the RV capital of the world.

So if you guys are supplying oe, you can stand behind your products and also if they're willing to put your product on there. Yes, that's right. It's a good sign. So as far as some of your offerings for etrailer, what all do you guys have So I think one thing we'd like to talk about today is our pre-greased idler hub and break drums. We bring that product in from our factories and then we put the bearings in, we grease them, we do the quality controls all here stateside.

So the customer can be guaranteed that it's an ISO certified facility doing the work. We've got, actually, we've got a quality control engineer that checks first articles, last articles, random checks. So the chances of a bad part going out of our doors is pretty low. So a customer's gonna get an easy to do idler hub or break drum swap knowing the bearings are greased properly. Yeah.

And there's something to be said about that. I've changed out bearings and you know, you grease and you go, I think that was enough. You know, and I think I got it all torqued down. And that's the thing, it's like I get it to do small little components, but sometimes I've learned as I've worked on cars to get a whole assembly, that's all set up that you have confidence that it's packed right, it's pressed right, everything's good to go. So as far as if someone was to replace that whole assembly, pretty simple, right Yeah, it really is.

You know, it's a backing off of the pull out the cotter pin, take off the nut and washer, pull the whole assembly off, open the box. One thing that's unique about ours is we have a thermoformed cap that goes over the nose cone to protect any contaminants from getting into that grease. So the customer's gonna be really confident they're getting a good part. All the components, the dust cap, the wheel nuts, everything are in there for install of the wheel after you're done. That's awesome. Well and that's something when it's a preassembled like that, yeah, if you're out, oh man, I gotta get the trailer back on the road. You could, you could do it in 10, 15 minutes, if you're good. You can do it on the roadside. Yeah. And a lot of our customers, customers who, their trailer is an occupational piece, this isn't a hobby trailer, they're on the road every day, keeping an extra brake drum in the truck or even on the trailer is a lifesaver. You find yourself broke down on the side of the road 'cause you smoked a bearing or something went wrong, being able to change that real time and keep going, the customer still wants their load that's on the back of your trailer. And we hope to be able to help people do that. You're a hundred percent right and you're right to have a spare one, I've seen a lot of trailers on the side of the road and I go, good luck bud. You're to find those parts while stuck on the road, you're gonna be stuck and- It's a hundred dollars investment to keep yourself from a thousand dollars tow job. Yep. Peace of mind. Right. And again, when it's occupational, it's an investment worth making in our opinion. Yeah. Time is money. That's right. Awesome. Thank you so much, I appreciate it.
