Features to know about

Moves Air Fast with 12V Fan: Keeps Interiors from Overheating

The built-in 12-volt DC fan pushes out hot, stale air while letting fresh air flow in. With a fan capacity of 100 CFM, it quickly clears out heat and odors without needing to open doors or windows. It’s a solid upgrade from non-powered vents and keeps the space cooler and more comfortable.

Hands-Free Operation with Wall Switch: Power Lift and Fan Control in One Spot

No cranking or reaching required. The powered lift raises and lowers the vent dome through an included wall switch, so you can run the fan and open or close the cover without climbing up. It’s perfect for when the vent is in a hard-to-reach spot or you just want simple, convenient control.

Built to Last with Steel Flange and Polypropylene Dome: Resists Rust and UV Damage

The galvanized steel roof flange won’t rust or corrode, and the aerodynamic, wedge-shaped dome is made of durable polypropylene that stands up to sun and weather. The translucent white cover lets in some light without glare, keeping things bright inside.

Ventline Ventadome powered roof vent with white dome and integrated 12V fan for RV and trailer ventilation

Fits Standard Openings for Straightforward Installation: 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" Size

This vent drops right into a standard 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" opening, making it easy to replace an old unit. It includes a Polar White interior trim piece that fits roofs 2-1/8" to 3-1/4" thick for a clean, finished look. Screws and sealer are sold separately, and the wiring connects to a 12-volt DC power source.

Easy Upkeep with Snap-Out Screen: Quick to Clean and Reinstall

When it’s time to tidy up, the screen snaps out fast so you can wipe away dust or debris. Pop it back in place and it’s ready to go again—no tools or fuss needed.

Angie was totally a big help in getting the right part. Always in contact and readily available to help. I tore a piece of my rubber roof by accident and I called and she answered right away and we got the repair package sent immediately. Thanks and the fit on the vent cover was spot on.
by:
Actually been about 3 years since these were installed, have always worked as they should. I would definitely recommend them and would purchase again if needed.
by:
I"m sure I'll be happy with this product. I'm replacing one that for some reason lets the lid open on its own. There are two of these in my trailer and I had to repalce the first one under warranty just a few months after I bought it. But I really like both the power lid opening and the separate switch for the fan. I'd considered putting in a max fan but content with this for now. And very happy etrailer has these available.

It is still working perfectly

Product is not a plug and play into existing RV wiring. This product requires 4 wires in the RV roof. The industry standard is 2 wires (+12VDC and -12VDC).
The way this product is configured installations require running additional wiring from the roof to the wall switch.
by:
as usual, great service.
by:
great. but didn't need two tubes of the sealant. One is more than sufficient for a 14 x 14 vent.

@GreatP Glad to hear it!

The seal for the top to the base is not sufficient and requires bonding to almost stay in place. The seal on the old 1990 unit is still in good shape and will replace the seal supplied with the new unit.
The etrailer support was great.

the product was just as I expected. Works well and easy to install with the correct tools.

Glad we could help, Michael! What did you install this on?

by:
I ordered two of these and one showed up damaged. They sent a new one to replace the damaged one and when the replacement showed up it was only the vent cover not a complete replacement of the damaged parts. Not a good experience by far.
by:
The package arrival date changed multiple times which made it difficult to schedule someone to install this . ( Dodging cold weather in WI) The video was VERY helpful and I was able to complete the task with only a friend's consult re: sealant product. Despite being bent, everything fit well and dropped in easily with minor adjustment. Screws not included so be sure to buy self tapping or save old ones. I'm leaving a cover on the bed for a few days just in case!
by:
Simple R&R. I used mineral spirits to clean top surface. Didn’t use the inner lining that came with the kit. (Due to angled ceiling). So I sprayed the original white and reused it. Perfect

Job well done, Jay!! Thanks for the photos!

by:
Seems like a better built and better quality RV repeated product, mostly metal rather than brittle plastic to replace a similar vent that was nearly 40 years old. Install was strait forward and uneventful. Unfortunately the crank mechanism lasted about 6 months, can’t open or close the darn thing, bummer because instal is semi permanent with sealant and screws etc.
by:
Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent 14 1/4X14 1/4. Shipping was prompt, product arrived intact. Had to get the #10 stainless screws to install (expected them to be included) plus the butyl tape and lap sealant which I knew from the description I'd need to buy seperately. The install went without any issues. I was expecting it to fit with no trimming but ended up needing to trim each corner on my 14 1/2 inch opening. My roof thickness was right at 1 inch so needed to trim down the trim strip. How will it do in a driving rain? To be continued.....

Hey John. When are you taking the camper out on the road again? Hopefully you will always have blue skies but I'm sure the vent will keep everything dry :)

This review is post-install vs 1 year as I couldnt find how to just edit my original review. The screen clip system is really poor. The screen frame is a very light, flexible plastic and just barely is held in by the clip pegs. I expect this to fail and I will likely need to figure out a better way to hold that screen in place. Should be a 3-star rating. I also never checked to see if replacement screens are available.

I have yet to take the rig out for any substantial use since installing the vents. Their initial operation seemed good. Ill need to use the vents in adverse weather rain to really evaluate.

This is the perfect replacement for my cargo trailer. I prefer the aluminum over the plastic. Online order was simple and fast shipping.

I’m very pleased with the quality of the vent and how easy it is to open and close. This was a replacement for the previous vent that became inoperable and leaked.

It’s been a year and the vent continues to work like new. Keeping the screen clean is relatively easy. There is a type of plastic, or nylon gasket that the hatch closes onto and its flexing, but I don’t notice any issues yet due to that. Hopefully it’s possible to just replace that gasket here in the future. Thank you.

@Erik Thank you for the detailed review Erik. I believe you are referring to the seal around the top that the lid closes onto, the Replacement Dome Seal for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vents # BVD0455-01 will replace that when it come to that time. Any big adventures in the near future? Where are you headed?
by:
best yet...most substantial one's that I've seen on the market...
but the vinyl sealer ring around the rim closure needs to be better secured..like silicone glued on (which I did)...it has a tendency to slip off.
minor issue..easy mod.
Bought 4 of these to redo/replace old plastic dome ones.
all good.

You can depend on eTrailer.
by:
I really liked how well e-trailer communicated with me about my order. I was impressed how fast it was processed and shipped.

  • Option to Replace Fan-Tastic Roof Vent 6500/410 With Remote
We have spoken to Fan-Tastic Vent about this issue in the past, and they have confirmed that there are no replacement remotes available for the 6500 model as it's no longer in production. So if you want to still use your existing fan but also wanted a remote, they said what you can use is the Fan-Tastic Vent 7350 Series Upgrade Kit # FV807359. However, this is similar to getting a brand-new vent, so you can go that route, with a number of different options. For a powered lift with a remote...

  • Parts Needed and Wiring Methods for Adding 110 and 12 Volt Power and Accessories to a Trailer
There are large RVs, over 40 foot Winnebagos as an example, that only use up to a 4K generator. It seems like a generator is what you need for the power the items you want to have in the trailer. We currently do not have generators or inverters that can produce the amount of power you are looking for. We have a 1000 watt inverter, # 02294, but nothing higher than that. Using a generator will negate the need for having power inverters. The way that systems are wired is that they can run...
