Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 14-1/4" - White - Birch Trim - V2094SP-28

Average Customer Rating:  4.7 out of 5 stars   (1043 Customer Reviews)

This roof vent uses a 12-volt fan to circulate air in motor homes and enclosed trailers, keeping interiors ventilated without compromising security. Wedge-shaped, white plastic vent cover opens and closes with a hand-operated crank.

I’m writing this review before installing the vent so I can’t attest to its durability/longevity. This is a lightweight unit but it should suffice for use about three times a year for a couple of days at a time. This unit is affordable; well under $200. It is a next step up from a passive vent with no fan.

Five stars to E-Trailer for processing my order same day and getting it on UPS Ground where it took the three days to get delivered in time for my install on the weekend. I'm assuming this product deserves 5 stars as well since it is what it was advertised to be. My only minor ding is for the two missing screws that are needed to hold the screen in place. The $20 for the 'installation kit' shipped a tube of urethane caulking two sets of screws, one for the mounting topside (plenty, thank you) and the bottom ones for the trim. But did not see the short 1/2"? for the screen. I had to use my old ones, one of which fell down a floor vent so I need to hit up a hardware store for it. The vent went in with little effort. Just took my time scraping off the old caulking and used plumbers putty, instead of the caulking for under the flange (in case I have to rip this up again). The tube provided just enough for a thick coat of goo to cover the flange and where it meets the roof. I have a rubber roof, so this was perfect. I'll rate the other things I purchased once I install and use them.

How quiet is the fan? We have a new fan and low is extremely noisy. Is this because the blades are plastic?

Eric B.

Chris, I cant comment on the actual use of the fan since I have not hooked it up to a battery to test it yet. We were planning on using it the week after the install, but stuff came up. Sorry I cant answer it. If youre patient, Ill respond once I do get around to it.

Eric B.

The vent is working fine. It makes about the same amount of noise as the original one did. The knob is a little shorter than the original crank, so a little harder to reach for my wife, whos shorter than me. The vent works very good. Just ordered another one minus the fan for the front of the trailer.

Received my order for three vent assemblies for my fifth wheel and everything was as ordered and the shipping was very fast. I will continue to use Etrailer for all my RV needs. Their service is excellent and the web site is easy to order from.

Ive had the product a year and everything is working great!

This vent fit my need perfectly to replace a damaged, rusty and irreparable one in my 50 year old newly purchased camper. was easy to find and order and they were very prompt with my order. The vent was easy to install and once I sealed it according to their instructions and with additional roof work being completed I have no more roof leaks! I also have a good looking, easy to use vent for my camper. I will be doing more business with this company in the future as I tackle other repairs on my camper. Thanks!

I had a very good experience with Sales person was knowledgeable with products, listened to My needs and quickly set up my order. I received my parts and only had one problem, I had base on a vent bent which was quickly straightened. I will definitely order all parts I can from etrailer. I will send pictures finished project, I’m replacing complete floor and roof. I decided to go ahead and replace all vents!

Thank You!

We ordered these products to replace vent covers that were recently damaged in a hail storm. From the moment I placed the order, the staff at stayed in contact with me via email to let me know exactly when we could expect shipment. The vent covers were received in good order.

The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent w/12V Fan worked out very well. The installation was quick and easy. The fan operates as expected and the new style knob works well to open the lid.

Product came quickly
Instructions were
Very happy with competed project

Ordered leaf springs for my flatbed trailer, site was easy to use prices and shipping were the best and my order arrived on time and in good condition. Thanks e-trailer I will definitely order from you again!

The Ventline Roof Vent is a very good vent. I used it on my enclosed cargo trailer. Should I ever need another roof vent, without a doubt, it would be Ventline.

I was happy to find the roof vents I needed on etrailer. Other sites did not have them. Called their number and was greeted by very courteous and knowledgeable person. Very helpful. I ordered two vents and they were at my front door 2 days later. Can’t recommend them enough. Their web site is on my homepage now for future part needs.

Good quality products. They are exactly what I thought I ordered. It is complete and the fit and finish is excellent. I have to replace the old vents in my trailer. I was impressed with how quickly everything arrived. So very nice to have free shipping I talked to a person before I confirmed my order just to make sure I was buying what I needed. She was very helpful and courteous. I will definitely be buying from etrailer again and telling my friends about it.

Great service and product, i am extremely happy with product and the prices at etrailer. The vent fan was easy to install and works/looks great great company, thank you.

This is a great vent/fan. It went in quickly and hooked up easily. I replaced a vent without the fan, but my rig was wired for a dc fan. so it was an easy hookup. A good quality unit, fan is quiet and works well. The package was delivered in 3 days, 1 day ahead of schedule. I will definitely use etrailer again.

The interior trim was not correct for me application. The flange was not tall enough and did not cover the roof joists. I had to re-use the old one to cover the gap from the ceiling to the vent.

The fan was everything I expected, it fit right in the location of the old one.
Works very well! I am very satisfied with the purchase, the shipping time and the product.

Received my new fan for my trailer was easy to install and a very good quality product came with everything that I needed to install it on my toy hauler thank you again and I appreciate your products

The only problem that I found was either I ordered the wrong ones because the inside trim was too narrow. Everything else fit fine and I am happy with the product

Happy to have these replacements in. The white is a good opaque and the turn handle is easy to operate. Finally have lit areas again.

Product worked great in my 91’ Dutchmen fifth wheel, and now I have a fan where I didn’t before!

I really liked that you kept up with the shipment and you were so very informative concerning the delivery. I will update as complete the installation.

Excellent product! Easy to install and works like a charm. Particularly liked being able to cut the trim piece to fit depth of ceiling. The hardest part was removing the old one! Will buy other products from this company. Great service, quick delivery, exactly what was ordered. Well done!

Thank you,

Charles Lewis

  • Can Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # V2094SP-28 Install On Roof Thickness of 2-13/16
Looks like you have a roof thickness of right at 2-3/16 inches like you mentioned which isn't a problem at all to install the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2094SP-28 that you referenced. This comes with a garnish that is 2-1/8 inches tall so you'd only really need to lightly trim it shorter for it to match perfectly to your roof thickness.

Compatible parts for your Ventline V2027 unfortunately are no longer available so a complete replacement of the vent is the only solution we can currently offer. With the hole being larger than the round models we currently offer at 8" in diameter the best solution would be to cut you hole larger and install a standard 14" x 14" vent like part # V2094SP-28 for white or part # V2094SP-34 for black.

  • Locating Replacement 16 Inch x 16 Inch Vents for 2005 Damon Daybreak
We do have a large selection of RV vent assemblies available, most of which feature the standard 14 inch x 14 inch measurement, which refers to the rough opening size. If the 16 inch measurement you mentioned in your question is by chance being measured from the outside of the garnish, these options may work well as replacements. For example, the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent (without fan) # V2092SP-29 fits a rough opening size of 14-1/4 inches wide x 14-1/4 inches long, however...

  • Replacement Trailer Roof Vent with Ventline V2094 Vent on 1991 Dutchmen Classic Trailer
Yes, vent assembly # V2094SP-28 will fit in place of the old vent you have. The rough opening size for most roof vents including this one is 14-1/4 inches square. But I stress the "rough" part of rough opening because it can be a little off from 14-1/4 inches. I also recommend installation kit # 344270KITW which includes hardware, Butyl tape, and sealant.
