This Yakima BaseLine roof rack gives you the space you need for hauling gear—whether it’s a kayak, canoe, or cargo box. The full system includes two 60" JetStream crossbars, four BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit, so you’re ready to load up and go. The aluminum construction keeps things strong yet lightweight, with a 165-lb weight capacity that’s plenty for weekend trips or extended travel.
Long drives can get noisy when the wind hits your roof rack. These JetStream crossbars are designed with an aero shape to help smooth airflow and reduce that sound. Rubber strips in the top channels press down around your mounts to seal gaps and cut down on whistling and vibration, keeping things quiet and stable at highway speeds.
Mounting accessories doesn’t have to mean cutting rubber strips to fit. The JetStream design uses push-down rubber channel strips that flex as you install your carriers or clamps—no trimming or guesswork required. Once your gear is mounted, the strips close back around the hardware to keep things clean and protected from wind and weather.
Whether it’s summer water sports or winter skiing, these aero-style crossbars work with most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers. You can attach channel-mount accessories that slide into the top track or clamp-on gear that wraps around the bar. It’s a flexible setup that lets you use the equipment you already have for any season.
When you stop for food or a night on the road, you can secure your rack with Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately). They deter theft by locking the towers in place, giving you peace of mind when you leave your vehicle loaded up and unattended.

Did not get to mount anything to it but seems really sturdy. One thing I can say is mark out your mounting points with provided stickers then put up and make adjustments to the roof rack.

The roof rack came packaged nicely and the instructions were simple to follow. I installed it in about an hour and we have already used it this past Memorial Day weekend. My wife loves the way it looks on her Mazda. Much better than the factory rack
Your notice of schemes was a lot better than the yakima site provided. They did not suggest the scheme you did.
But when the products arrived, the instructions were by yakima. Generally worked as instructed except the tower to tower transverse mounting dimensions needed to be tweaked for a perfect fit.
Easy to install and sturdy. I carry a 9' pontoon boat on my camper shell using this rack at freeway speeds with no problems.

So far so good. Purchased these towers to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon with HD bars that I already had, primarily to carry my canoe. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid.

Work exactly as they should and hold everything securely to my vehicle without interfering with the car’s normal operation. etrailer had best prices based on my research. These bars are much quieter than traditional round bars and worth the added expense.
Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.

I waited several weeks for roof rack to arrive after ordering online. I am accustomed to Thule racks, but could not find any towers/bases to fit the 2019 Santa Fe. Once here, the Yakima rack mounted with ease and I look forward to hauling kayaks or basket on the roof.

Great UX for finding the options matching my car, and the baseline towers work great. Simple straightforward site, will plan to use them again when needed.
For those also buying crossbars for cars without roof rails, recommend taking a silver sharpie and marking the placement of the crossbars on the weather seal at the top of the door openings. Makes putting them back on way less of a hassle if you don’t want them on 24/7.
