Roof racks can add wind noise that gets old fast on long drives. The JetStream crossbars on this setup have an aero-style shape that helps keep things quieter while you’re cruising. The rubber strips in the top channels press down around any mounted gear, cutting down on whistling and vibration. It’s not silent, but it’s a big step up from standard square bars and makes highway miles a lot more comfortable.
Some racks make you trim rubber inserts before adding your carriers or mounts. These bars skip that headache. The rubber strips in the top channels simply push down when you slide in your accessory hardware—nothing to cut or remove. When you’re done loading, the strips close back up around the mount, keeping things tight and protected from wind and weather.
This roof rack is set up for flexibility so you can bring along whatever you need. It works with accessories that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars, making it easy to switch between cargo boxes, kayaks, canoes, skis, or bikes. Whether it’s a family road trip or a weekend on the water, you’ve got options without needing a separate rack for every type of gear.
You want something that can handle real load without flexing or rusting out after one season. The aluminum construction gives these crossbars the strength to carry up to 165 lbs while keeping weight down. They’re finished in black for a clean look and backed by a limited lifetime warranty, so you can count on them for plenty of trips ahead.
When you park at a trailhead or stop overnight on the road, you can add some extra peace of mind by using Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores. They install into the towers and let you lock everything down with one key. It’s a simple way to help deter theft of your rack setup when your vehicle’s out of sight.

How's it going, Maverick owners This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima JetStream Crossbars for your 2025 Ford Maverick. Now this guy right here is gonna help you solve the issue of having limited cargo space because you have a smaller truck. This is gonna let you take advantage of all this negative space on top of your roof to get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road. So let's take a closer look and see what's special about it. On the Maverick with the OEM antenna, it does stick up quite a bit, so if you have, you know, a roof box or longer cargo basket, it may interfere with that. You might wanna look towards switching to an aftermarket antenna or just load accordingly.
As far as the bars themselves, these guys are 60 inches, so it's gonna give you plenty of space to add most of your rooftop accessories. One thing you definitely want to keep in mind is that you stay within the capacity of the rooftop that's specified from Ford. These guys are aluminum boards, I mean, bars, and they're cut in a way that's designed to help minimize the wind drag, and when you do that it helps minimize wind noise, so that's actually gonna give you a more pleasurable ride. As far as the towers themselves, these guys right here are designed to hold up against the elements. These are similar plastics to the types that you're gonna have from Ford that are designed to deal with the hottest heats and the coldest temperatures.
And as far as security, out the box you're gonna get this guy right here with this plastic knockout, but you can add a Yakima Same Key System Lock Core, and that'll allow you to use the same lock and key for all your Yakima products, so if you have a Yakima bike carrier or a SkyBox, you can just have that one single key and avoid that janitor key loop. As far as the fit, you can tell this is a custom kit from how it fits along the ridge of the gutter here. This guy's gonna hook underneath the door jamb. However, it is padded so it shouldn't damage your vehicle in any way. Now as far as the installation, it is super easy, and it's one of those installations that you may, if you had time, might want to involve one of your younger kids to hand you the wrench or the tape measure to make the process go a little bit better and create some memories.
Speaking of creating memories, we would love for you to share those memories with us. Show us how you set up your Maverick. Also, leave reviews and comments because, you know, we're all very enthusiastic about all the things outdoors and towing, and we just love that community vibe when we're just sharing and seeing how you're using our gear out here. As far as your setup, it's super easy. Only thing that you're gonna need that's not included is a tape measure, and I'll show you how to get it set up.
We're gonna start our installation on our crossbar by removing the end cap just to give us access to this channel, and now we'll get our tower together. So as far as the setting, this guy's gonna have a B and 2 for the toe and pitch setting, and that's gonna be in the center of both. So once you have both of these guys positioned right here where it's in the center, you're gonna fasten down right here, (tool clicking) and now we're gonna be able to install onto our track. We're just gonna align and slide this guy right on, and we're gonna use the measurement that's recommended from Yakima. Now we're gonna fasten our bolt here since we're in position, and we're gonna twist (tool clicking) until we hear our tool click. From here we're gonna take our foot making sure this curved part is pointing towards the outside because that's where our hook is gonna go. We're just gonna snap it right on. From here we're gonna head up to the roof. All right, we're gonna get this guy in position on both sides being cautious of our paint, and now we're gonna use our tape measure again to make sure we have the correct spacing for the Maverick. All right, now I'm gonna go to both sides and make sure that we're even. Now that we have our spacing set, we're gonna insert our clamp underneath and allow this bracket right here that has a hook to grab the top of it. From here we're secured in, and now we just need to torque it down to spec. The Yakima Torque Tool is going to click once you get to the necessary torque tightness. However, we're gonna go back and forth a little bit before we completely tighten it down because it has a tendency to pull from one side to the other. (tool clicking) Now we got this guy torqued down, we're gonna put our cap on the end. There's two little hooks on the bottom of the cap, and there it's gonna hook right in here (auto part snapping) and then snap at the top, and then we're able to put our end cap on our crossbar. Now we're ready to roll. And just like that you've increased your cargo area for your 2025 Ford Maverick. Using the Yakima JetStream Crossbars, they're gonna help you take advantage of this negative space on top of your vehicle. Have a great day.

So far so good. Purchased these towers to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon with HD bars that I already had, primarily to carry my canoe. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid.
As advertised. Quick delivery. Happy
Nice solid crossbars and perfect fit for a Thule Hullivator kayak rack.
Ordering was a breeze. Fast shipping. Excellent communication. Product arrived well-packaged. Product easy to install; completely as described. Yakima products are superior-performers. etrailer is an excellent source for truck & trailer products.
I had a need for the Yakima Crossbars and Towers for my Expedition. With a short delivery time frame, I contacted etrailer knowing they are the best. Justin B. worked with me to get the correct parts then made sure that the products arrived in time, it did. The Towers, Bars and overall excellent customer service from etrailer made for a great experience. Thanks again for exceeding expectations etrailer!
Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.
Love my Yakima roof rack!! It exceeds my expectations.great product. Also thank etrailer for the tec support! great staff always there to help thanks again!!
All aspects of the purchase and installation were great. Based on the information provided on the etrailer.com website, I had a high level of confidence that I was purchasing the correct product(s) for my vehicle. The installation was relatively simple and straightforward and the rack is rock solid on my roof. It appears that I did a great job of following the directions :)
High quality bars that were easy to install to the Skyline towers and work great with our Yakima JayLow kayak carriers.
The bars are sturdy, aerodynamic and super strong. I bought this to fit a Yakima Skybox 16 and these worked great. The measurement ticks on the bottom assist with getting the box centered and have a great gasket system that you fit yourself. These mounted pretty quick even in 20 degree weather.
etrailer sold this as a set based on my car and every piece was great and a perfect fit. Communication and tracking info was great and they delivered it a day before promised.
These Yakima crossbars are a part of the Yakima towers I bought to install on my Jeep Cherokee to hold a pair of Kayaks. They fit great as advertised. In fact I got these discounted as an open box. I would have never known, they look brand new. Thank you etrailer for your great advice, customer service and quick shipping process.
Excellent product. These bars are very quiet and look great on our truck. Assembly and installation was straightforward. We've used these bars to secure our large Yakima car top carrier and have traveled on several trips to the mountains and cabin with no issues. I suggest ordering an extra set of end caps as we've lost one in the car wash. However, have had no problems with the bars when going through the car wash.
As always, I GREATLY appreciate the superior product support that etrailer.com provides. They have the best product content on the web, hands down.
1 year later and still love my Yakima JetStream system. I've mostly used them to transport my kayak however I've also been able to transport some big box store items as well. They are very versatile. There is a t-track option as well as wrap around attachments. I've use ladder attachments, eyebolts, and Thule Hullavator in t-track. I've used Malone MegaWing and Yakima Skybox as wrap around attachment. What I really like about the t-track system is that you do not need to cut out the rubber track insert. You simply slide over the rubber, which allows you to adjust your system, on the fly, to load what you need to carry.
Gast shipping and great updates on my items, thank you!
Really easy to install & work as specified. So happy with the customer support/service at etrailer.
Great UX for finding the options matching my car, and the baseline towers work great. Simple straightforward site, will plan to use them again when needed.
For those also buying crossbars for cars without roof rails, recommend taking a silver sharpie and marking the placement of the crossbars on the weather seal at the top of the door openings. Makes putting them back on way less of a hassle if you don’t want them on 24/7.
The product itself was excellent. However, it came with no installation instructions showing how to remove and replace the shorter cross-bars. Fortunately, my son-in-law who is an engineer and very knowledgeable figured it out and did the installation.
Product exactly as expected. Quality bars. Using on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Looks great installed. Little to no wind noise. And, as usual, top notch service by the etrailer crew! Have purchased several items from etrailer over the past 10 years and have always been impressed by how timely they are and how responsive and helpful they have been regarding product questions. They are absolutely the first merchant I go to when shopping on line!
The Yakima rack system for my 2015 Ford Fusion is an awesome product! I hadn't needed to buy aftermarket racks in many years. These are a super solid, beefy, and very well made product. I am very impressed with the quality and fit. Yakima has obviously put lots of design time into them. And etrailer does an outstanding job of making sure you get the right product for your specific need.
I chose this rack specifically because of the spread between the bars - 32" - and for the higher weight limit, as I'm carrying a fishing kayak.
Not a bad setup. I dont believe you need the 60" bars i received as they hang over the edge of your Hyundai. You need to watch your head getting in and out of your vehicle. The Jetstream crossbars are very loud at speeds over 65 mph. Im probably used to it by now, but it is definitely noticeable. Much louder than an older Rhino Rack of similar dimensions i had. Install was simple and took about 30 minutes, just take your time and measure correctly like all roof racks.
Great product haven’t had any issues with it. Would highly recommend that anyone that’s looking for a roof rack system and a great seller at etrailer
These roof racks cost a bit but the quality and ease of installation are well worth it. The shipping was fast and arrived in exceptional packaging, almost too good.
I ordered the above item Y 22AB, and asked for two day shipping because I was leaving on a trip from Vermont to Utah the day after the items were to arrive.. Ultimately UPS Did not get the products to my house in two days. Which delayed my trip a day. Having me to cancel hotel reservations along my route to Utah and rebook costing me money . 2 of the 3 pieces showed up on the third day, but one of the pieces that had the bars, never came. UPS lost the delivery and they could not be tracked. So I had to go out to a local vendor to source the bars myself to solve my problem. This has been the worst experience dealing with buying products in my life.
Excellent fit and held solid on my '23 Ford Maverick pick-up for the entire canoeing season. When removed this Fall there was no sign they were ever there.
