This is a trailer-side connector and pigtail; will use it with truck's factory trailer connector socket to power truck camper's license plate light, and also an aftermarket third eye stoplight (in conjuction with a logic module). Good quality, perfect fit. 413127

Works good. Has questionable reviews on a different online site but I think it’s just people who wired it incorrectly. Requires the input of both tail lights for the logic circuit to work. you need to have dual filament bulbs for tail lights, and then have a led third tail light as well. So if you don’t want to find or don’t have a constant break light wire handy easy way to tap into the factory tail lights. 587885

Do you have a question about this Accessories and Part?

  • Adapter for Truck Wiring To Wire Third Brake Light of Camper Shell
  • What you can do is use the converter box part # 118158 wired to either you taillight wiring or trailer wiring and you'll have a dedicated stoplight circuit on the red wire. If you ground the white wire and then run the green wire to the right turn circuit and the yellow to the left turn on the input side of the box the red wire on the output side of the box will have just the stoplight.

  • Wiring Third Brake Light for Truck Topper on 2012 GMC Sierra
  • Unfortunately, your photo didn't come through, but we get asked this question fairly often. There is a bundle of wires under the brake pedal of your 2012 GMC Sierra that will have an orange wire that should be used to power the third brake light of the camper shell. This orange wire is in the same bundle as the brake controller wires in the photo attached. If you want to capture the signal at your tail lights then you will use the Curt Vehicle to Vehicle Converter # C56196 to separate...

  • Recommended Wiring Adapter To Isolate Brake Signal From Combined Wiring With Turn Signal
  • The Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 you referenced is for a single LED light. It isolates the brake signal from the turn signal on combined wires. It works in the same way as the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # 118158 which is confirmed to work for your incandescent light bulb function as well as LED function.

  • How to Wire a Third Brake Light on a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 with LED Lights
  • The reason that your third brake light still blinks with the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module part # PP20-702 installed is because the LED lights on your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 do not draw enough amperage for the module to recognize that a load is present. Therefore, it will not work on most vehicles with LED lights. However, we do have the Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter part # C56196 which will serve the same purpose as the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic...

  • Converter to Provide Brake-Only Signal for 3rd Brake Light on Camper Shell
  • A center or 3rd brake light needs to receive a brakes-only signal. You will need the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 to block the turn signals. This is needed when using an LED 3rd brake light.

  • Separating Turn Signals from Brake Lights for Third Brake Light on a Camper Shell
  • Any basic converter box will separate out turn signals from brake lights but I recommend the vehicle to vehicle converter # 118158. On the input side the white wire is ground, yellow connects to the combined left turn signal/brake light wire on the vehicle, and green connects to the right turn signal/brake light wire. These all have to be connected for the box to work. On the output side the red wire will be brake lights only. Green and yellow are turn signals only but can be capped...

  • Combined to Separate Wiring Converter Compatible with LED Lighting to Add 3rd Brake Light to Trailer

  • Troubleshooting Camper Shell Brake Light Not Working When Connected to Blue Wire on Trailer
  • The blue wire on your trailer should be for the brake output circuit to the trailer's electric brake assemblies. We actually don't recommend wiring lights to this circuit for a couple of reasons, however the brake light should still technically work when connected in this manner since the wire will be receiving power with the brakes applied. What might be going on in your case is that you have a proportional brake controller in your tow vehicle. Since a proportional controller will...

  • Wiring Third Brake Light for Truck Camper Shell
  • The first thing you want to do is check above the spare tire on your 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 for a wire loom and there may be a light blue wire that is the lead for your third brake light; you do need to verify this with the use of a circuit tester such as # PTW2992. If that is not there you will simply need to add the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 and tap into the turn signal circuits of your Sierra. This converter will separate your truck's combined turn signal/brake...

  • Wiring 3rd Brake Light on Truck Cap for 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax
  • The dark blue wire that you found actually coming from your Sierra 2500's 7-Way connector carries the signal for the trailer's electric brakes. You won't want to tap into this wire for the third brake light on your topper because of the variance in voltage that would be carried on this wire that is dependent on your braking. This would result in a brake light on your topper that can be extremely dim or bright depending on how hard you're slamming on the brakes or how you have the brake...

  • How to Install Third Break Light for Cap on a 2018 GMC Sierra
  • The pictures you are referring to are actually for older Silverado and Sierra pickups. I am not aware of any special wiring near the rear of your 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 but you can easily isolate the brake signal by using the 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702. This connects to your left and right turn circuits and then gives you a separate wire for the 3rd brake light (see attached wiring diagram).

  • Recommended Easiest Way to Isolate Brake Signal for High Mounted Third Brake Light
  • There is a simple solution to get the isolated brake signal from your combined turn signal and brake wiring. You will simply use the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702. The module filters out the unwanted turn signal. This will work with incandescent or LED lights.

  • Making 7-Way to Camper Shell Third Brake Light Adapter
  • You can use 7-way trailer wiring with the module part # PP20-702 to provide power to the third brake light of your camper shell/cap. Basically the stop/turn circuits of the trailer wiring need to run to the yellow wires of this module and then the green wire goes to the third brake light. For an 8 foot 7-way plug and lead you'd want the part # 277-000143. The wire colors of this you'd run to the module are red and brown.

  • Troubleshooting LED Third Brake Light Installation on Enclosed Trailer
  • The GloLight Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL179RB and the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 is all that is needed because you have LED brake lights. The load resistors are not needed for your application. They are only necessary when going from incandescent lights to LED because LED lights require so much less power that there still needs to be that power draw for the system. You may simply need to remove the resistors to have the third brake light function...

  • Should Red Wire for Primus IQ Brake Controller Always be Hot
  • You definitely did find the culprit! The red wire should only get hot when your brake pedal is pressed. This tells the Primus IQ # TK90160 that you are stepping on the pedal so that the controller, in turn, will activate the brakes on your trailer. Check for any places where that wire is damaged and try to repair it as that would be the problem. If you can't find any places where it looks damaged then you may need to use something like the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module...

  • Can 2 LED Lights be Powered Using Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702
  • There is nothing that says you can't use 2 LED lights with the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702. And since LED lights draw such little power it is very unlikely that 2 LED lights would overdraw this module which is rated at 1.5 amps. I would not use an incandescent light with it though since they very well could draw more power than the module can handle. But 2 LED lights should not be an issue at all.

  • Could Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 be Used to Power Camper Shell Light
  • Your truck most likely already has a third brake light circuit ran underneath it for wiring to a truck bed camper. If you trace the trailer wiring back from the connector you should find an extra wire hanging free that has CHMSL on it that's for illuminating a camper shell third brake light. That said, the # PP20-702 can be used as a way to get a dedicated brake light circuit as well.

Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 is for a single-LED light. Since you want only the brake light function I suggest using the single-function Optronics Streamline LED Trailer Third Brake Light # STL80RB instead of part # STL59RB. • Correct Converter To Add Third Brake Light To a Trailer
