I needed to replace a single step with a double after the 4" lift to our Class B+ Motorhome. This one bolted right in and even used the existing electrical hardware and wiring. I was surprised that it didn't come with mounting hardware but as I was replacing a step I didn't need it. Something to note if you are installing one for the first time.

Easy install and work perfectly. Multiple mounting holes made the steps very easy to line up with the coach. Perfect replacement for old, bent steps with burnt out controller and motor.

Overall a very good experience! The electric steps have several holes and fit our 2004 Newmar Essex -fairly easy install (steps are heavy). Once order was placed item was shipped and received within four days. Thank you etrailer we were able to get back up and running very quickly!

Overall it went well, the steps were exactly what I had on my 2001 motorhome and was a simple order and install. The only negative was the packaging was ripped open on both sides, I understand the steps are heavy and awkward for the delivery driver but most of the time I order something heavy I get a box inside another box and that was not the case and the metal steps just cut through the box and only got a small scratch. Otherwise it would be a 5 star review.

The motorized steps were a perfect fit in my 1997 motor home. Wiring had been torn up on the old steps making it difficult to figure out the right connections to attach. The etrailer associates were very helpful in getting the right person to help me figure out what the previous owner had done to the wiring. I have recommended etrailer to other people because of the quality of the product and excellent help they were during the installation of the steps.

Five stars for Jerry B. He was very helpful throughout the entire process including after the steps arrived...explained how to verify the steps would fit or were the correct product. Explained the return process.This maybe what all associates are supposed to do, but Jerry B. did an excellent job, better than anyone I've talked to in a very, very long time. The steps were missing a sensor called direct line and within minutes he returned my call..handled the missing parts without a hassles. Took my order over tele so I would not have to go back to the computer to complete the order...in the past most people tell me to go back and complete on line as it is faster? His demeanor, and communication style are extremely customer orientated...Do not let him go...

The steps are in and working. At first they operated backwards and they didn't retract when the ignition was on. Robin at etrailer said I need to change the magnetic door switch that DID come with the steps. On switch is normally open and one is normally closed. I installed the new switch and the stairs work great. The motorhome is a 2005 Dutch Star so the switch issue may be limited to older RV's but I am not really sure of that.

Direct replacement for an old Kwikee P/N 903209100 on a 2009 Winnebago Journey. I did not have change out the magnetic door switch or the cut out switch, so now have spares. Easy install, did it myself. A second set of hands would help, but not necessary.

The RV steps were a direct replacement for my 1999 Fleetwood Bounder. They fit perfectly, and I couldn't be happier. The packaging could have been better: the box was torn up, there was no padding around the steps, and they were scratched, but did not affect their function.

I love my new steps! Very solid! I had to rebuild my entry step in my motorhome due to water damage. This actually made it easier to install bolt hole locations that lined up with the new step. The steps are very heavy but I used a short piece of wood and a pump up jack until I could align the bolt holes and insert 2 bolts/nuts to hold in place then removed the jack and lined up the other 2 locations. I'm a 65 year old woman and completed this project from start to finish 100% by myself. Was it easy? No, but obviously possible with enough ingenuity and patience. I also added steel angles to support the steps instead of just plywood that was originally in the coach. These are heavy duty steps, they don't flex under use and I wanted them to last which is why I reinforced the support system.

1999 ULTIMATE FREEDOM 40' MOTOR HOME ( WINNEBAGO)
My coach had the single step 28 series, I order the 32 series two step. My coach always seamed like it needed another step. Very difficult when the airbags are in the normal or driving mode for my wife to get in and out of the coach. So I ordered the double step and I installed it today. The 28 series as a 22 inch by 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern the 32 series as a 22 inch by 8 inch bolt pattern. In which I knew when I order it. But when it got here the 32 series as bolt pattern for both 8 inch and 6 1/2 so I installed it set back about 2 inches to far back. So I drilled a 8 inch bolt pattern on my coach (very simply modification). After the slight modification to my coach it was a perfect fit. The bottom step is 8 inches off the ground, when the bags are fully deflated the bottom step is clearing the ground by about 1 inch. The single step 80 percent of the time was always to high. So I carried a portable step made for RV's. I will very seldom have to use it now. On the rare occasion if the step hits the ground on a steep incline then I may leave the steps in the close position and use the portable step. I want to thank again the staff at etrailer.com for the prompt service and the very good price, believe I shopped for a good price and your price was the best I found, thanks again. My steps started to work intermittently and they were rusty. So I Bought the 32 series steps for a replacement on my 1999' Winnebago Vectra Grand Tour. Bolted right up,plugged in the wire harness,and the steps started working perfectly! (Even with the old magnetic door switch!). I also added a large mud flap to keep road grime off the steps! Highly recommend etrailer. Very good price and "FAST" shipping too!

etrailer, as always, has performed excellently. I had some issues with the steps but it turned out to have nothing to do with etrailer. The on-off step switch is reversed, it something I can live with. I have a 2003 Mini Winnebago and this was the only Kwikee step made and available for my RV. I know because I called the company.

2004 Fleetwood Flair Class A RV. My original RV steps (Kwikee 903206001) broke. I reached out to eTrailer and Anna recommended a direct replacement part # LC379145. This included all parts: steps, motor, gear, light. It bolted right up and all the control wiring plugged right into the original harness. I am very please with the new steps and eTrailer staff.

The RV is the only thing that makes this not fun to install. Used a floor jack and some blocks of wood and it was easy installation day. Hooked up and grounded it worked as advertised. For me no electrical work or monkeying with the switches in the door. I removed the mag switch last year due to inadvertent extensions while driving and installed an up/down switch at the entry way.

Replaced an old Coach Step unit with a new Kwikee. Bolted right in and wired right up to the old harness. The only thing I had to do was change out the magnetic switch, because mine made the steps close when they should open. No big deal, and the magnetic switch came with the unit. Nice solid construction!!! Thanks Lippert Kwikee!!!

I reached out to my contact at Lippert who said that the 733-0001 number you gave me does look like a Coach Step number but he wasn't able to find anything in their system with it. Is there another number somewhere on the steps that has 6 digits and could you let me know how many steps you currently have? Replacement Motor and Gearbox for Kwikee RV Step Using Motor 151332 and Gearbox 151320
If your RV step's motor is dead (no operation even if you bypass the switches and directly apply 12V power to the motor terminals) then it will require replacement. Your gearbox may still be okay so long as it has not made bad noises when it last operated. If the step gearbox made any unusual mechanical noises like popping or grinding sounds then it too may be damaged. Thank you for the part serial numbers you provided. Check the underside of your steps for any model numbers or other information. Yes Joe that is correct. The problem is that if you have the 151320 gear box that means that your current step is old enough that there aren't replacement parts for it and you'd need a new assembly which the # LC372261 is the closest replacement.

Hello Amos, thanks for reaching out. Yes the folded depth of the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly # LC372261 is approximately 18". So when you’re checking clearance under the coach, you want to plan for about 18 inches sticking back from the mounting plate when it’s stowed. If you are replacing another 32 series step, clearance should not be an issue, but you can always measure to be absolutely sure. What RV are you installing it on?

Why Would RV Kwikee Steps Start Working in Reverse
Hey Jeff, this is an odd thing to happen but we've seen it before and the fix is simply to cut the two wires that run to the step motor and then switch the polarity but wiring it "backwards" and the steps will start to work like they should again. I would try that first since it's free and then if not that let me know and we'll look into a replacement controller.

Troubleshooting Lippert Electric RV Step That Will Not Retract
Since you noted that your powered electric motorhome step does have power it may not be a fuse that is giving you the trouble. Depending on the system you have there could be a fuse in the main power panel or in the wiring between the battery and step controller or motor. If your RV uses door sensors to control step motion you could have an issue with the sensors being blocked/out of alignment. Hey Pete! I'm sorry you've had so much trouble with these steps. Based on what you're describing, the problem is with your existing magnetic door switch rather than the new Kwikee Steps # LC372261. The newer Kwikee steps require a normally open switch that closes when the door closes. If your switch has no continuity with the door closed, that would explain why the steps are operating in reverse. To replace them you'll want the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly item # LC372261. The Kwikee item # LC372261 is going to be a direct replacement. You'll just bolt it up to where your old steps mounted and plug in the new wiring harness.
