Thanks for the pictures Gordon. To replace your 2004 Monaco Holiday Rambler's Kwikee steps, you'll need the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly item # LC372261. This complete kit comes with everything you need including the step assembly, motor, control unit, switch kit, door sensors, and light.

The Kwikee Electric Step Assembly item # LC372261 is going to be a direct replacement for your Rambler's steps. You'll be able to bolt the new steps to the same brackets where your old steps mounted and plug in the new wiring harness.

What kind of camping and traveling do you do in your Holiday Rambler? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

I had a mechanic replace the steps in my 2007 Kountry Star. He told me that the switch that came with the steps did not mount the same way that the original switch did. However, after twice attempting to order the correct switch from a supplier (not eTrailer) and it getting lost in shipment he modified the door mount and installed the included switch. I cannot see any difference. The steps work great. The mechanic did not have to change the original wiring.

@Chuck Thanks for sharing that feedback Chuck. Those door sensors are magnets and each step requires them to be in a specific orientation to match the polarity. If not you get steps that open when the door closes or they don't extend or retract at all. Glad your installer was able to get that sorted out for you.

I replaced the stairs you are considering. I replaced it myself using an automotive floor jack to remove the old step and install the new one. I have used the step for over a year and have had no issues with it. Very satisfied with the purchase.

I replaced this unit on my 2011 Georgetown. Super simple bolt on. I did not have to change the wiring harness but I did swap out the door sensor going from a normally closed switch to a programmable switch that could be used in normally open or normally closed. That way I didn't have to worry about getting it right. Part I ordered with spares: 5Sets Magnetic Reed Switch, Magnetic Door Switch/Magnetic Contact Switch/Normally Open Closed NC NO Door Alarm Window Security, for DC 5V 12V 24V Light (white-31)

@JoeW Thanks for that feedback Joe. Glad the new steps went on so easily and the door switch didn't trip you up. I appreciate you taking the time to come back and share that with us.

The only issue i encountered was the magnetic switch on the door was opposite of what was originally there. Just swapped the wires and it worked perfectly. Great replacements

@Jason Thanks for that tip Jason. That door switch seems to be a common hurdle. Thanks for coming back and sharing that feedback.

All it is is a magnet, and it has two wires and it doesn’t matter which way the wires go as long as the magnets lineup on the door and the jam you good
