Question:
We have a 2007 Holiday Rambler Imperial with the 3 step retractable entry door and it appears to have two door switchs to activate. It is working sporadically and we plan to change the switch but have not found any switches with two switches and magnets. Can you give us some answers to why we have two instead of the one showing in all illustrations

Hello Gerald, thanks for reaching out. I have not heard of a retractable step requiring two switches. I even asked a few of my associates here at the shop and none of them have heard of this either.
Any chance you could email me a picture of the switches so I can see exactly what you are talking about? Just reply to the email that brought you to this page and it will go straight to me. Also, if you can provide me with the model number and serial number from your step that would be great. It is possible your step is an older system that used two switches, so before I tell you to replace the switch I want to be sure your step is compatible with a single switch setup.
Get that info over to me when you can and I am happy to look into it and get back to you.

Hey Gerald, were you able to send over the pictures and model information from your step? Knowing what you found could help others who run into the same two-switch setup. Your update might clear up some confusion for folks with older steps too.
