Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our replacement magnetic door sensor for the Kwikee electric RV steps. Now, folks, these simply replace that door sensor tabs for your Kwikee electronic RV steps. You get the two round tabs here, the wiring and the mounting plates. If you're not familiar, basically, these mounting plates go onto the RV door and door frame. This sensor would then get pushed in place.
I'm not gonna push it all the way in there because it would snap in with these tabs and most likely not come out. But then, whenever these touch each other, then that would stop the retraction of the steps. It is made here in the U.S. As far as some quick dimensions, these tabs are an inch diameter, an inch and 1/8 long, or deep, however you wanna say it. The mounting plates, they are 1 3/8 inches center to center on the mounting hole pattern.
And the wiring is 18 1/2 inches long. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look. Just a set of replacement magnetic door sensors. I hope this information's been helpful for you in your purchase today. I'm Steven.

We live full time in our RV. After about a year and a half the sensor is still working as it is designed to. No issues at all. Happy customers!
When the step on my Monaco motor home did not Auto retract it was a head scratcher until I performed some basic tests that revealed the magnetic switch did not work. A MAGNET against the sensor should activate the step. When that did not happen further investigation revealed the MAGNET end was ok but the switch end was not responding
A quick search for the part showed that etrailer had the parts and shipped them quickly. Installation was an effort but fun and now everything works as it should .
Not my first purchase from etrailer and certainly not the last.
