These Brophy 4-step aluminum scissor stairs stretch from 31" to 39" tall, giving you a solid, natural climb in and out of your setup. Each step is 24" wide and 8-1/2" deep, so your feet have full contact as you go up or down. The steps self-adjust to the ground, staying steady even on uneven sites, which keeps you stable when carrying gear or helping pets and kids climb in.
Each tread has a built-in non-slip surface for traction in all weather. With a 300 lb weight capacity, the steps stay rigid under load without wobble or flex. The secure ground contact design and aluminum build make each step feel sure and solid, whether you’re loading coolers or stepping out at night.
Built from heavy-gauge aluminum, the entire 4-step assembly weighs about 25 lbs, so it’s light enough to move solo while still tough enough for years of use. The scissor design folds down compactly to 25" x 17" x 13", making storage simple when it’s time to travel.
The included 24" wide mounting bracket attaches with four 1/4" x 1-1/2" screws, letting the steps clip securely into the “V” clamps when parked and detach fast when you’re ready to move. The removable design means you can stow the steps cleanly and keep your entry clear during travel. An optional matching handrail (AHR4, sold separately) adds an extra layer of support if you want more stability.

These steps are awesome! Best price out there and we are impress with the quality. So much better than what we had. My husband has problems lifting, I can easily lift and attach them. Even our 5 yr old granddaughter said "Cool steps Grandma and Grandpa."
Stairs came dented and the clamp that hold the scissor stairs compact was not properly aligned. (had to take the assembly apart and realign screw holes so that you don't have to remove the screws to unfold the stairs)
Great customer support. They shipped the item within two days, I had a nice graphic tracking of my shipment, and it was delivered in mint condition. I replaced my 18" steps with the 24" steps and what a difference. Can't wait to get on the road.
These steps provide connivence and safety. I mounted the steps with 5 carriage bolts directly to frame of our truck for extra strength. Excellent product!

Great steps for my Lance 825. Easy set up and use. After first trip for 3 weeks the roll pins that stop’s steps extension broke or fell out. Contacted brophy from website and their only suggestion was to put a bolt in place of roll pins. No big issue, didn’t affect use and can be easily fixed. Much better and safer than the step ladder I was using.
I realize they have to hold 300 lbs but these are crazy heavy. In addition, they're assembled so crudely it's way too hard to fold/unfold them. These aren't cheap, but they're assuming as if they were.
Great quality steps. Certainly makes getting in our truck camper so much easier & safer- Even more so on our lifted truck camper set-up. Easy to install & remove, fold up to store when on the road. These are something I've needed for a long while. I use this truck for home repair and I go in and out of the back of the truck many times in a day. Even though there is a ramp it is very cumbersome.
I purchased this item as an alternative to the factory steps. There are products out there that are similar that actually take the place of the factory step, which leave you having to store the factory step. If you were to upgrade to a newer or different rig, you would either swap steps, or let the new set go with the old rig and then have to dispose the old set. This system keeps the original steps in place and is portable. In fact, we recently purchased a new trailer and the steps came with us and work perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased.
These steps are a great addition to our new truck camper rig, they are even easy for the pups to maneuver!

After 50+ nights camping our Brophy steps are working out great! We like their ability to adjust to different terrain and levels at the campgrounds we visit. We have recommended them many times to other truck campers using step stools!
This works great on my Lance 1181 truck camper folds down to fit in storage compartment for travel and rest on the top of my bumper when sits are not flat. None slip steps are great after a rain.
Love the steps, very glad I went with the 24” width given height from truck bed is right at 41”, the extra width is good for stability and safer for the kids. Expedient shipping and no noticeable damage. The non-slip traction is nice but i question the longevity as some edges were starting to come up. Easy fix down the road however. Sturdy attachment, I’ll look to add a locking mechanism.

A year later these steps are still solid. A great purchase and am very happy I went with the 24” width. The aluminum build is also something I would not compromise on, having these be sturdy and lightweight is a must.
These steps are a lifesaver!
My service dog developed mobility issues so getting in and out of my Jeep Grand Cherokee was a problem. After wasting $$ on the "dog steps" that failed every time, I found these and haven't had an issue since!
I rigged them up to fold out of the way but still be very easy to open them when I need to use the cargo area.
24" steps are the way to go. I installed the Brophy scisser 4 steps onto a 1999 Lance 1010 slide-in camper which has its own bumper and flip-down step to be used when the camper in on the ground. I installed the Brophy stair attachment just between the flip-down step and also made sure my dump hose tray would still go into the bumper after the mounting screws were installed. It all worked out great and the stairs are much safer than trying to climb up to get into the camper. My wife and I will be much safer now. I have a MORryde safe-T Telescoping hand rail arriving in a day or two which will complete the total install. Safety First!
Very nice and super sturdy. I bought for what may only be a one time use....but who knows. I want to take my mom on the road with me truck driving for a week. In the middle, I'll let her go gambling to stretch her legs. In all the years I've been over the road, she really hasn't even been able to see inside my cab because the steps are to high. Today I finally installed them (which was a breeze) and she easily climbed in and out of the truck without assistance. She was ecstatic....and even more so when I told her about the upcoming trip!
The Brophy Camper Scissor Steps are a very well made product but poorly designed. It was a good thing that I am a metal fabricator. I had to totally alter where the steps met the camper, otherwise, there would have been a 6 inch gap at the top. After looking at other reviews, this seemed to be a common issue. Hence, the loss of one rating star. Regardless, the steps fold neatly and store nicely. I also designed, fabricated and powder coated a folding hand rail for added safety.
2014 SILVERADO WITH A 2014 NORTHSTAR POP UP CAMPER . 3 STEP MODEL WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER BUT THIS WILL WORK . THESE ARE VERY STURDY AND RAPID TO ATTACH AND DETATCH . VERY PLEASED
SOON TO UPLOAD PHOTOS OF THE 4 STEP AFFIXED . ENTIRE PACKAGE WAS A PERFECT MATCH . THE STEPS WORK WELL , HOWEVER ON MY NORTHSTAR CAMPER THE SPACE ON THE FIBERGLASS BETWEEN DOOR BOTTOM AND CAMPER BOTTOM ( 1" ) IS TOO NARROW FOR THE BRACKET ATTACHMENT . SO A SLIGHT MODIFICATION ACCOMPLISHED THE TASK . MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I HAD PURCHASED THE THREE STEP STAIR VS THIS FOUR STEP VERSION . ANGLE A BIT LAYBACK BUT MAYBE ONLY I WOULD NOTICE IT . YOU JUDGE . GREAT , STURDY SAFE AND FAST ASSEMBLY UNIT . THANKS
You had changed the spacing of the mounts and it works way better. More support and less give when carrying something heavy up the stairs. Kudos to your team.

Great steps...nice to have normal steps anf not huge ones
These are way sturdier and wider than the other scissor steps. Feels much safer. I should have bought these years ago!
Very nice high quality stairs. We can still use our original stair when traveling and pulling our side-by-side trailer.

Super sturdy easy to use stairs for our truck camper. They were exactly what we were looking for. Besides the stairs, being of such great quality and shipping fast, there was a little error with UPS and when I reached out to the company, Amy with etrailer was very nice to talk with and very helpful.
