When you’re hauling gear on the roof, wind noise can quickly wear you down. The Yakima SkyLine Roof Rack uses aerodynamic JetStream crossbars that help quiet things down. The rubber strips built into the top channels seal around your mounts to smooth airflow and reduce vibration. You get a calmer ride without all the whistling that some square or round bars can make.
Installing channel-mounted accessories can be tedious if you have to cut rubber each time. These bars use push-down rubber strips that flex out of the way when you press in your hardware. No trimming or cutting is needed, and once your gear is loaded, the strip springs back into place to keep things sealed and tidy. It’s a clean, frustration-free setup that keeps installation simple.
This setup gives you real flexibility when it comes to what you carry. The crossbars work with most universal cargo boxes, kayak carriers, bike racks, and ski or snow gear attachments. Whether it’s a weekend paddle or a long camping trip, the SkyLine system makes it easy to switch between accessories using the same secure base.
You don’t have to worry about whether the rack can handle the trip. The aluminum construction keeps things light but solid under pressure, with a 165 lbs capacity (always stay within your vehicle’s roof load limit). It’s built for hauling serious gear while keeping stability front and center.
If you want an extra layer of protection, the SkyLine towers are ready for Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately). With them installed, you can secure your rack to deter theft whether you’re parked at a campsite or grabbing food on the way home.

Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
