When you’re hauling kayaks, canoes, or a cargo box, you want bars that don’t flex under pressure. These SquareBar Evo crossbars are made from galvanized steel with a polymer coating that grips your cargo and helps prevent corrosion. Each bar measures 47" long x 1-1/4" wide x 7/8" tall and supports up to 220 lbs—plenty for hauling heavy water gear or camping supplies with confidence.
The square bar design fits accessories that clamp around the bars, so you can mount kayak cradles, bike carriers, ski racks, or cargo baskets without needing special adaptors. The familiar square profile makes it easy to reuse the gear you already own from other setups while giving you the flexibility for future add-ons.
The included Evo Fixpoint feet and custom fit kit mount directly to your roof’s fixed points for a solid, no-slip connection. This fixed mounting method keeps everything stable at highway speeds and helps your load stay centered on long trips. It’s a dependable setup whether you’re heading to the lake or crossing states on a camping run.
The polymer coating on the steel crossbars adds a layer of grip that keeps gear from shifting and also shields the bars against rust and wear. That extra durability means you can keep using this rack season after season, through rain, sun, or salty air.
If you want to lock down your rack, it’s ready for Thule’s One-Key System (sold separately). You can add locks that match your other Thule gear so one key secures everything when you park overnight or leave your gear at the campsite.

They are the original cross bars I saw as a kid so that is why I bought them. Just place and do nothing else kind of bars. You can hear the wind a bit with them on.

One came with slight defect and they replaced it but that one also has a small nick in the cover of the metal. its not that important but it's expensive and who wants that?
These fit my Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2017 2.0T with panoramic sunroof with plenty of space to open the sunroof!

fit perfectly
Install was pretty straight forward. I did have to drill holes on the roof gutters for the fixed point bolts (2024 Mazda 3 5dr). Shipping was delayed by a month but it was not due to etrailers fault.
The Thule SquareBar Evo Crossbars, Rapid Traverse Feet, and Fit Kit for the Roof Rack Feet were all promptly shipped and delivered within three days of the order. I had them all assembled and installed on my Ford Focus in less than an hour.
I really wish I had paid more money for more aerodynamic crossbars. These are extremely noisy and have made a noticeable difference to my gas mileage.
This was the best price I found for the roof rack. My order arrived with a torn box which was UPS's fault so I was missing the end caps for the bars. When I called in a very friendly agent helped me and sent me the replacement caps free of charge and kept in contact with me until I received them. I will definitely buy from here again.
Got exactly what I needed! Perfect fit on the 2024 Q7.
The fixed point feet fit perfectly on the EVO cross bar, but typical of Thule the channel for the feet kept them 2” to far apart. Thule wants you to always buy complete new sets of everything. I extended the channel by 1” on each side. Everything fit perfectly.

I'm using these Thule Evo Fixpoint Feet #710701 in conjunction with the FitKit #87003 to mount my DropRack XL to the rooftop of my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Eventually I'll get a Thule Rooftop Cargo Box to transport our RV camping supplies for which we don't have enough room in the Jeep or our Aliner RV camper. For now, I'm also using the setup to transport 4' x 8' plywood sheets for a DIY home project. This is the perfect solution for a multi-use application that'll enable us to accomplish more projects around the house as well as on the road.
