Can You Mount Old Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist 897 To Aero Crossbars

Hi, I currently own an original Hullavator as opposed to the newer Pro model. With my aftermarket wing bars can I use this mount with my carrier or is it simply not compatible? If not, are you aware of a mount adapter that would work and save me $900 on a new Hullavator Pro? Your QandA is extremely helpful and previous answers have helped me choose various products on your site. Thanks in Advance,

I do have an option for you but the Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist part 897 is only compatible with square crossbars. There are no adapters to use these with aero shaped crossbars. However, if you have a Thule roof rack system then you can revert back to the square bars which now have an improved design using one of the options below. This option is more cost effective but in the end it would be better to simply obtain the new carrier as it's more widely compatible, the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist part # TH898.
