Question:

I have a 23 gladiator with a alu-cab camper not the tent version. What rails can I use to attach a hullavator?

Hey Robert,

It looks like Alu-Cab offers proprietary load bars that you can purchase through them. Since we don't have a confirmed fit the only option we can currently offer would be to install Thule Top Tracks like part # THTP42 along with fit kit # THKIT3101, towers # TH460R, and some crossbars # TH712200. This would require drilling and either bolting or riveting the tracks onto the roof of the camper.

How about the same idea but for my 2024 gladiator hard top? I assume something that requires drilling into the top.

@Robert With the Top Tracks yes, but if your Gladiator has rain gutters then you could go with the Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers # Y00101 and Yakima RoundBar Crossbars - 58" Long # Y00409 instead to avoid drilling.

@KevinC is there an option to drill some mounting plates or something. The gutters only hold so much and seem less than stable.

@Robert If you don't want to use the gutters then you would need to drill through the roof and install Top a track mount system like the Thule Top Tracks or Yakima Tracks. There's a bit of math involved if you go with Thule because their crossbars only have so long of a mounting track on the bottom so you'd have to figure out what length crossbar will fit mounting feet and still give you enough clearance so that the kayak carrier won't hit the side of the Gladiator as you use it. Personally, I'd just go with Yakima because their crossbars have a mounting channel that goes the length of the crossbar. This would allow you to slide the crossbar more to one side to give yourself enough clearance.
