Question:
I have the old Thule square bars with out the slits underneath. I ordered the Thule 480r foot pack and have just now realized while looking through the user manual that there is no instructions on how to install my square bar. Is there any conversion kit or part that I am missing to make them fit? Thank you

Expert Reply:
The Thule # TH480R foot pack isn't compatible with the square crossbars unless they're the newer style that have the slots in the underside. Unfortunately, Thule no longer offers feet that are compatible with the older-style square bars nor is there an adapter available so your best bet will be to replace your existing bars with the new models that have the slots. The bars are available in the following lengths:
43 Inch, part # TH712100
47 inch, part # TH712200
50 inch, part # TH712300
53 inch, part # TH712400
60 inch, part # TH712500
