I have been looking for something that would allow me to attach my bike rack when hauling my kayak trailer behind our VW camper. Excited to find this item on the etrailer web site. Incredable customer service and fast delivery. Great internet company

by:

Gives me the ability to pull the boat and take our bikes. The receiver is very loose in my Silverado's 2" receiver, had to buy a anti-wobble pin. I have many other ball mounts or attachments to go into my Silverado's receiver with no wobble at all. Curt could have made it closer to 2".

by:

Product is perfect for my needs. Your company is awesome with pricing and SERVICE! Your follow up is the best I have seen with internet purchasing. I receive an email stating my order was received, an email stating it was ready for shipment, an email stating the order was shipped with tracking info, and the shipping was super quick! I waited almost 1 month for an order of another trailer part from another "trailer parts" company, only because you didn't carry this OEM part. Thanks for the great service!

  • Recommended Multipurpose Ball Mount with Receiver for 3 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatibility
The Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 7,500 lbs # D210 will work with a 3 inch receiver when you use the Curt Reducer # C45408. If you need more adjustability to tow level, then the best option is the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers for 3" Hitch - 12" Drop/Rise - 32K # 325-GH-1725 or the 9 inch drop/rise # 325-GH-1724. These assemblies offer stacked receivers that you can use bike racks or other accessories in. This will...

  • Dual Hitch Accessory For Carrying Bike Rack and Towing Trailer
Instead of the MT70070 I have a much better solution that would be ideal for you. The part # D210 has a hitch opening on the top for an accessory like a bike rack and then has a ball mount platform on the bottom. Since this isn't a hitch adapter you don't end up losing hitch capacity.

  • How To Tow a Trailer and Haul a Motorcycle with a 2012 Toyota RAV4
It sounds like you are wanting to carry a motorcycle on the back of your 2012 Toyota RAV4 while also towing a trailer. If that is the case then this is a pretty tall order for your RAV4 but is possible so long as the tongue weight of the trailer, weight of the motorcycle, and weight of the motorcycle carrier do not exceed the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle which is 350 lbs if you have the towing package. In order to mount both the motorcycle carrier and ball mount, the only option...

  • Will Two 30 Inch Wide Kayaks Fit on Lower Deck of Yakima EasyRider Trailer
I don't believe your two 30 inch wide kayaks will fit on the bottom deck of the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer # Y08129 . I confirmed through my contact at Yakima that the width of the bottom deck is 54 inches inside to inside of the 2 inch diameter tubing that make up the frame. Because the bottom deck has a height of 21 inches, you would not be able to fit your 30 inch wide kayaks on their side, as you mentioned. You could, however, fit one on the bottom and a second or third...

  • Can the Winch Mount Plate # C31010 be Used with the Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210
Using the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 to tow a motorcycle trailer and the Winch Mount Plate # C31010 to pull the motorcycle onto the trailer is a great idea! The multipurpose ball mount has a Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) rating of 7,500 lbs and a Tongue Weight (TW) rating of 750 lbs. That is a combination of both the ball mount and the 2nd receiver so you will want to make sure that you stay within those weight capacities. • Solution for Hitch Mounted Canoe Carrier While Towing Trailer
I recommend taking a look at the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210. This is a unique ball mount that features a standard ball mount platform on the bottom and a 2 inch receiver at the top. Because of its design, this multi-purpose adapter will only reduce the capacity of your trailer hitch by 50 percent when the receiver portion is used by itself. Other similar adapters will reduce the hitch capacity regardless of how you use it. This unit features a 7,500 pound towing weight capacity...

  • Bike Rack Solution for Oliver Elite II Travel Trailer
The towing capacity restrictions of the Curt ball mount part # D210 are pretty odd but basically if you were to use it with a bike rack like the XTC # S64670 you mentioned the capacity would not be reduced. I really like the Lippert Jack-It part # LC429756 for people in your situation though as it gives you a way to carry a couple bikes above the propane tanks and does not affect the towing capacity.

Sounds like you may be interested in the part # D210. This will fit your 2 inch hitch and gives you a ball mount platform down below and a hitch opening above for your bike rack. However, if you do not yet have a hitch yet, we have great news. We have the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7322 that has a 2" opening and a 300-pound tongue weight capacity. • Hitch Adapter to Tow Trailer and use Bike Rack
There is an option for you, though the part you asked about is not for use with trailers. Instead, I recommend the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers # D210. This will give you a ball mount for use when towing your trailer, and a receiver above it which you can use for your bike rack. You can secure it to your Sienna's hitch with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98880 or Pin and Clip # PC3. For a hitch ball, depending on the size...

However, if you use a ball mount like # D210 you will get a 6 inch rise and 7-1/2 inch extension from the hitch pin hole to the center of receiver's hitch pin hole. Best of all with the D210 the capacity is not reduced. I have included a video review of this ball mount for you to check out.

  • Towing While Using Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack
There is a way for you to tow your small trailer AND use the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Rack # TH83JV, although you would not be able to do so by replacing the lower tube on the rack. Instead, what you can do is use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver # D210. Provided that you are withing the capacity of the hitch, D210, vehicle, and carrier (whichever has the lowest tongue weight capacity) then there will be no problems. The Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter, # RM-048-8, is only designed for tow bar applications. I do have another, more cost effective solution. You could use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount, # D210. Though it is designed to tow while carrying a cargo carrier or bike rack, you can use it to just carry a cargo carrier. We carry a very handy 2 inch ball mount for this exact application. The part is # D210. The Ball Mount has a 500 lb tongue weight capacity, which means that the bike rack and the bikes on it as well as the trailer tongue weight cannot weigh more than 500 lbs or the tongue weight capacity of the hitch, whichever is lower. • Carrying a Scooter and Carrier While Towing a Trailer Behind an RV
The first thing to check is to make sure the scooter carrier you have is rated for use at the back of an RV. Due to the distance from the rear axle to the back of an RV (which is longer than on a passenger vehicle) there is considerably more bouncing (like being at the back of a school bus). This additional stress creates a lot of stress on the hitch and the carrier.
