It seems to work well. Had to use the alternative installation with the tightening knob at the top right rather than at the bottom. After installation, the hitch is solid and does not rattle. One negative is the pin is tighter and harder to get through. I had to hammer the pin in so I could get the lock on it

The first one I bought broke shortly after this review. Etrailer replaced it. The second one lasted one or two trips. I do not recommend this product. It breaks and is ineffective.
I'm impressed with your anti rattle product. It works really great with my bike carrier and I'm really liking not having to use a wrench anymore to stabilize it. I've been clamping my hitch plug with it too.

Immediately after purchase I wish they had made one for the hitches on a Honda CRV. This device has been absolutely wonderful to remove all that annoying rattling noise that you would constantly hear from the hitch. I have it installed on a 2006 chevrolet 2500 duramax. This vehicle has never been garage kept a d for the last year the etrailer Anti rattle has been outdoors expose to the elements. The adjustment know, shown in one of the photos, still turns as if it were new.
I would purchase it again in a heartbeat. Great product!!
Using this on my 5th wheel trailer to help stabilize a (3) E-bike carrier. A two hour drive from our home down to San Diego and my bike carrier was rock solid. So far two thumbs up.

The easiest and best anti-rattle hitch collar I've found. I ordered two of these when etrailer posted them. I can swap out my regular hitch and my weight distribution hitch in less than two minutes. No more wrenches or wratchets needed.
My only disappointment is that it will not work on my 2023 Ford Bronco with the factory hitch and steel bumper. The gap between the hitch and bumper is too close and leaves no room for ANY anti-rattle device. Get on this etrailer, we depend on you!

After a year still the best money ever spent on an anti-rattle hitch collar. I’ve tried a lot of anti-rattle devices even some homemade rigs over the years and none of them have worked as well as the etrailer collar.
It fits perfect on my Mercedes V-Class and it works well (together with the Yakima exo System). No noise from the hitch. A well made product! Thank you etrailer!
I finally had the chance to evaluate this anti-rattle hitch collar. It has been installed on my truck for a while but I've had no need to haul anything until recently. After installing my hitch hauler and loading it with my snow thrower, I set out to drive a few miles to clear snow for my family. I immediately realized I had forgotten to tighten the collar, so I was able to see how much the hitch hauler rocked around without the collar restraining it. At my first stop, I tightened the collar and then compared the movement of the hitch hauler on the next leg of my trip. There was a noticeable decrease in the amount of unwanted movement of the hitch hauler and my load. There still was a little movement, but it definitely wasn't as much as when the collar was not clamped down. I'm happy with the performance.
As for the anti-rattle hitch collar, it's great. But, because this specific item was back ordered for a long time, which when ordered it shows in stock.
Customer Service was very helpful and actually shipped the collar earlier than was projected. I've good luck with etrailer's products.

The build quality is excellent. Also very easy to use. I have not had the chance to go on a trip as of yet, so I cant' tell of the unit will keep the shaft in place for extended periods. But based on what I have seen I am hopeful. The unit is installed on a 2021 Ford Ranger.

As noted earlier, Ive had this product for about a year. During that time, the device has performed exactly as I expected, eliminating any rattle from the receiver. My only disappointment is that the set screws securing the unit have already started to rust and will need replacement. Overall, in terms of performance and meeting expectations, it has done just as I hoped.
I ordered this to go on my 2013 Silverado. There was an awe shucks moment when
Hitch Collar wouldn't fit over the receiver by a couple thousandths of an inch.
I ground off just a little on one side of the part that grips the lip on the back of the receiver and all is well. Easy on,easy off, and works well!

I guess I didnt read the small print before ordering it. This will not work when using a weight distribution system. Thats a very true statement! It seemed to work when I left the house but by the time I got to the campground - 20 miles away - it was loose and rattling. Re tightened before the trip home but got the same result. Purchased another style and will be trying it out in a month or so.
I like this anti-Rattle so well that I just ordered another one.

I found out that you have to keep a eye on the mounting screws, they come loose and I lost the anti-Rattle
Unfortunately, this product is not up to the task for my usage case. Pulling a 25ft travel trailer. No matter how hard I cranked down the collar, it could not remain tight with the weight of the travel trailer (about 7,500 lbs). Eventually, after a long haul the thumb screw worked its way all the way out and was lost on the highway. Probably works fine for small trailers, but I would not recommend for larger applications.

Great anti rattle device! Easy to install and also lets me change hitches with a twist of a knob, instead of having to uninstall my old anti rattle device to remove the hitch.

Working out just fine! I like that I dont have to disassemble an anti rattle devise to remover the hitch.
I took my tractor in for service and the trip involves about an hour of travel on rural roads. The truck and trailer are great, but the stops and turns are pretty noticeable and made me think of the email ad I saw for this so I ordered it when I got home. It came the day before I picked up the tractor so I put it on (just took a few minutes) and the trip there and back (empty and heavy) were smooth as can be. Definitely worth it!
They work great, better than the old ones I had. MY hitch rattle is gone and our wheelchair rack is sturdy and quiet.

The Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar works great, purchase 3 of them. One is on our Chevy Traverse, 2 on my Chevy Silverado 3500hd dually. Stopped the rattling and stay in place, if you do a lot of driving just retighten them every once in a while. I would recommend getting them, good strong product.
Perfect to stop the rattling from the boat trailer attached to the hitch!

This product is perfect for our trailer!
I like the easy instal and then the handy knob to tighten the anti-rattle mechanism. On the negative side the two screws on the left and right of the face plate loose their paint and rust significantly. Also the the plate that
tightens on to the inserted hitch to keep it from having movement/vibration has begun to wear down. Note that I Pull an RV travel trailer cross county. Short hauls like towing your boat to the input ramp, i.e. short distance with lighter load probably would have minimal wear.
Very happy with this purchase! Finally a solution to the hitch wobble that still allows easy removal of my bike rack. It was a tight fit and I had to rotate it but it’s working great.

The product was great, and replaced my old anti-rattle bracket that would required a lot more work to install the hitch, however the installation of the e38FV was not easy. On my 2024 Toyota Tundra after adjusting the rotating handle to the right pressure with the bouncy of he ride the handle would get loose and the rattle would start. I was able to fix this problem by installing the bracket 90* to the left and placing a rod on the top horizontally in orrder to stop the handle from rotating. Would be great if you could have a stop mecanismo to avoit the handle from rotating in transit.

At first it worked well as advertised. But after about 4 or 5 trips with our 10,000 lb trailer it failed with the lip of the hold down block on the left side breaking off. Also the alignment pins near the bottom bent. It may work better with a lighter trailer.
This is an excellent anti-rattle collar. I used it towing our camper and several cargo trailers. It replaced several clamp anti-rattle devices. This collar requires no special tools and holds our receiver hitch in place. I highly recommend this device!
etrailer has been great to deal with and the hitch collar works fine, but the two pins on the back bend after use and then the hitch collar no longer works. You replaced the first one for me. If you could reinforce the pins on the back side that would fix the problem.
Overall a great product and easy to use. I got this because when towing my trailer, I could feel a clunk when stopping due to the hitch moving up and down. This was able to tighten the hitch and stop that. After a year of use and just leaving this on my truck, the exposed metal parts (the part that actually clamps) shows signs of surface rust, but everything still works fine.
I purchased this anti-rattle hitch collar hoping it would eliminate movement, but it’s been a constant frustration. It loosens up very quickly, and I find myself having to retighten it at nearly every fuel stop. That’s not something you should have to deal with from a product like this.
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it. I wish I had gone with a different option.
Heavy duty and so easy to install. Put my receiver in, tightened down the handle and there is zero wiggle room. Works as advertised!
