Hello Gary, thanks for reaching out. The etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar # e38FV is only for a 2" receiver. It will not work with the 2-1/2" hitches. We do hope to make a version for a 2-1/2" hitch in the future, but that is a good ways down the line.

If you need an anti-rattle device for a 2-1/2" hitch we do have the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-062 or the Blue Ox Immobilizer # BX88225. Both are U-bolt style ant-rattle clamps.

So I see the question on it fitting a 2 1/2” receiver was asked over a year ago… any update? I can wait a bit for it, but if there’s no definitive eta, then I’ll look elsewhere. thanks, Dan

@DanD Hey Dan, I do have an update, and it's good news! The etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar for 2-1/2" Hitch Receivers is on its way and will be here soon. Right now, we expect to have them in our warehouse and available to ship by mid/late May.
