Hi Todd,

The etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar part # e38FV is designed to fit most 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers. Due to variation in hitch collar thickness from OEM hitch manufactuers, some hitches will have a collar that is too thick for the # e38FV to attach to. The e38FV specifically fits hitch collars that are 7/8" thick and 3 1/4" wide, if the collar of your hitch is smaller than or exactly these dimensions you'll have no problem getting the anti-rattle device to fit.

What accessory are you wanting to use with the anti-rattle hitch collar?

@BennieD Thanks for letting us know this works with your Jeep Gladiator! How has the anti-rattle device been performing when you're hauling or towing?

Do to the thickness of the ring around outer lip of the factory Ford Maverick hitch, the anti-rattle device will not work on my Maverick. Great idea so I was very disappointed it wouldn't work.

Did not work with my 2022 Grand Cherokee Overland. Works as designed with 1997 Grand Cherokee Limited. Hope this helps.

@Chrid Thank you for sharing! I'm sorry that it didn't end up working with your Cherokee, but it helps to know what year, and model hitches aren't compatible with the anti-rattle device for others who are also interested in it. We'll hopefully have a solution for this in the future.

Works fine on my receiver and hit hitch but the I can’t ever tighten the knob enough by hand to make it stay tight on longer tows. Personally I’d prefer a bolt I could tighten with a wrench. Maybe it works on really light applucations

@JeffH If the knob won't stay tight on longer trips, a couple of things are worth checking. First, make sure the hitch-mounted accessory is fully inserted into the receiver and the hitch pin is tightened before tightening the anti-rattle knob. If the accessory can still move around in the receiver, that movement can gradually work the knob loose. Also, check that the clamp is centered on the receiver and isn't resting against a weld bead or a thicker receiver collar, since that can prevent it from getting a full grip.
