It sure does Steve, and congrats on your new SUV. The Curt Hitch item # C74MJ does indeed fit the Plug-In Hybrid model of the 2026 Mazda CX-90.
The Curt item # C74MJ is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that comes with all necessary installation hardware. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 500 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I really like the Curt Hitch item # C74MJ because of how it installs. The entire crosstube is hidden behind your rear bumper leaving only the 2" receiver visible. This not only looks better but helps with ground clearance.

I received the hitch in great shape and it installed exactly as described in the video. I also bought the suggested wiring adapter and it also went in as described. I did have my local auto shop do the install because they had the hoist but i watched them do the whole job and they watched the video before installing. They had no issues. It makes the foot control for the tailgate a little tricky but I never used it anyway. Thanks, Todd

Thank you so much for the quick reply and congrats. I'm pretty excited to have a brand new vehicle! The last one got totaled out due to storm damage. I'm going to be using the hitch for a bike rack I got a few years ago. I don't plan on towing at all.
