This complete bearing kit is designed for use with (2) 8" or 10" disc brake hub-and-rotor assemblies. Includes inner bearings (L68149), outer bearings (L44649), grease seals, lug nuts, and grease caps. For 3,500-lb E-Z Lube axles.


Features:

  • Complete kit includes inner and outer bearings, grease seals, and lug nuts for 2 trailer hub assemblies
    • Fits 10" hub-and-rotor disc brake assemblies for Dexter E-Z lube 3,500-lb axles as well as standard trailer hubs
  • L68149 Inner bearings are for use with L68111 inner race
  • L44649 Outer bearings are for use with L44610 outer race
  • 58846 Grease seals are double lipped to better retain grease and keep out moisture and debris
    • Inner diameter: 1.719"

  • Drive-in grease caps have 1.999" diameter

Everything was packaged together. Lug nuts and bearings mixed together through shipping made me nervous to inspect for damage. No damage found but I think keeping things seperate could be useful.

All the parts I ordered were correct and of good quality. The customer service was outstanding!! I spent probably 30 minutes on the phone with Danielle as we tried to figure out exactly what axle was on my trailer ( wasn’t what it was supposed to be ). The parts showed up in a pretty reasonable amount of time considering the pandemic was in full swing. The prices also were very reasonable, as she searched her inventory for the best price, found a package deal for me with more than I was looking for at less cost than buying the parts individually. I will use them again for sure and definitely recommend them to anyone needing trailer parts.

Exactly what I needed to switch out old bearing and seals. Didn't need to go searching for individual parts with this all-in-one kit. Could have been found cheaper, but not easier. Didn't need the nuts, but will keep them for something else.

Items were loosely packaged in box and clanking around. Only piece of paper in large box to protect the bearings/races/seals. Would have expected them to at least be wrapped in tape or plastic to prevent potential damage. Parts seem to be ok visually so we’ll see..

All the correct parts, however, didn't realize kit did not include the bearing races. A bearing kit should not be sold without the matching races. Ended up having to buy another bearing kit that included them, have this kit for spares, did use everything else.

This is a GREAT replacement bearing kit at a very affordable price. I'm glad I noticed the races are NOT included before I started refurbing my drums. Luckily my old races were in great shape and everything went back together as it should.

Hub caps did not fit the Kodiak hubs etrailer sent with the same order, just slightly too big. Had to use my old ones with the new bearings (which all worked as advertised)

    The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit part # K2HR35DS is a great option to replace the disc brakes on a Shoreland'r Boat Trailer. It has dacormet and stainless steel finishes so it will hold up to salt water just fine. The hubs and rotor are integrated into one another which will make for easy replacement.   • Should Trailer Hub Grease Seals Be Driven Flush With Hub Bore
    Grease seals such as those included with the # DBRKHW35EZ bearing kit should be be installed so that they are flush with the hub bore. If the correct seal is used, everything should fit together perfectly. As long as the castle nut is correctly ran down, everything should be held together well so there should be no lateral movement of the bearing. Running the castle nut isn't an intuitive process. It needs to be snug enough so that the inner and outer bearings hare held into place correctly...

  • How To Tighten Spindle Nut on EZ-Lube Spindle
    Instead of a castle nut and a cotter pin, your Ez-Lube spindle used a D-washer and a nut retainer. After the bearings are repacked and the grease seal is in place, working the hub gently into place until it seats fully. Install the D-washer then the nut. Snug the nut down a little at a time as you rock the hub back and forth making sure it's seated. Run the nut down just past finger tight but not so tight it doesn't spin freely.     Since you have 3,500 lb trailer axles from Lippert the correct bearing kit is the part # BK2-100. This comes with bearings, races, and a seal for each hub plus a cotter pin and tang washer. Or we have the part # DBRKHW35EZ which comes with the correct bearings, seals, lug nuts, and dust covers for both sides of a 3,500 lb axle like you have. If you don't need the races or cotter pins (you probably don't) this would be the way to go.
