Compatibility of EZ Lube Grease Caps on Standard Axle
Updated 07/16/2020 | Published 07/14/2020 >
Question:
I ordered this ezlube kit based on the numbers on the bearings, but neglected to realize that this axle has the 2 different setups the ez lube and the standard and we have the standard The parts are all the same except for the dust cap and the double lip seal. My question is, am I safe using this ezlube kit on a no ez lube axle?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Bearing Kit for Trailer Brakes w/ 8" or 10" Hub/Rotor - EZ-Lube - 3,500 lbs # DBRKHW35EZ is safe to use on standard axles and the double lip seal will also seal well on that axle. There is no need to get a standard grease cap as the function will be the same in keeping debris out and grease in.
