This offset ball works great with the RAM factory hitch prep package. It gives just the right amount of space between my cab and my gooseneck 5th wheel. The offset does not seem to affect the weight on the rear of my truck at all. I appreciate the three mounting pounts making the whole thing feel like part of the truck. I like this one because it leaves the space in the bed near the cab free for a fuel tank or tool box. It’s a bit heavy, but nothing like if you had a true 5th wheel hitch. Assembly was easy.
Seems very heavy duty should do well towing I needed the extra 2 inches in height to level things out. The only thing I can find wrong with it is if you want to take it out good luck cause after you tighten up all the bolts it won`t come out, you have to loosen all the bolts up to get it out = pain. The Gen -Y offset hitch I had before it could be removed and installed effortlessly, big benefit if you need to take the hitch out in a hurry. etailer is the best to buy from their customer service is top notch and communication is always up front compared to others stores.
I think it is a great thing for short box pickups, I just wish it could be a little easier to put in and out. I don’t want the ball to rust in like the original ones do. So I plan to take it out in the fall when camping season is over. Other than that it’s 5 stars all the way!

Easy install and fit perfectly.
Great fit once I decided to look at the directions. The Curt ball kit came configured for a Ford? I had to take the castle nuts off and flip the puck hold downs to configure for my 2002 Ram 3500.
Very precise fit for the ball puck, just enough clearance to fit in the Ram a puck.
This will replace my B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch. I can now have my bed back using the Gen Y Goose neck ball hitch ( without breaking my back).
The chain hold down loop fit the 3/8” chain hooks, with no problems
Fit was spot on.
The product arrived as scheduled. I had previously watched videos about installation. The procedure was viewed as eze and quick. Once hitch arrived and installation was begun all this fell apart. The directions on sheet said nothing about having to turn pucks upside down to fit install. This product had Metric bolts and Nuts???? Not in AMERICA !!!!! Procedure on Directions were Not Complete.
I liked how it was built with safety chain connection built into it.
Very heavy duty. I had to reverse the pucks for my application.
Works perfectly on our 2021 Ram 2500 with factory gooseneck prep! ONE BIG TIP for installing that could be in BOLD letters - the 2 pucks have to be turned horizontally for Ram OEM… (or I’m just not good at reading directions ??)
It's a great set up for people who don't need to take it off. Pain in the butt to take out and put back if you want to use your truck bed for something else.
