Which Offset Gooseneck Ball for Ram 3500 Short Bed Towing Trailer with Curt Helux Pin Box

Alliance Avenue 32RLS FW with Curt Helux gooseneck pinbox, towing with Ram 3500 shortbed crew cab. Currently have standard Curt gooseball, with 6-3/4 rise from truck bed. Goal is increasing cab clearance I had a contact issue. Gen-Y offset ball or Curt offset? Curt rocker ball is interesting, but I am concerned about increased rise. The current 6-3/4 is pretty good, with a few inches of tailgate clearance. Guidance on best fit for an offset for my equipment appreciated - thank you

Hey Jeffrey, I would recommend going with the Curt Offset Gooseneck ball part # C68ZV as this will give you 4 inches of additional offset like you are wanting and doesn't change the height of the ball like the Rockerball version part # C78ZV does. Plus you have a cushioned gooseneck pin box already and using a cushioned ball with a cushioned hitch doesn't always work out like you'd hope. How do you like the Helux pin box?
