Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this GE Appliances 13,500 BTU Black High-Efficiency RV Air Conditioner with Heat Pump. Now this is going to be a great option for you to consider if you're looking to upgrade or add an air conditioner to your RV's ducted or ductless system in your small to medium-sized camper. And this high efficiency 13,500 BTU per hour air conditioner is going to cool evenly and efficiently, and it has a built-in heat pump for those chilly mornings. All this from a brand name that you know and trust. Now this does use a more energy-efficient R32 refrigerant, which is going to meet the 2025 EPA regulations.
And because of that, this will not be backwards compatible with any air conditioner systems from 2024 and earlier. Now this is going to be just for the air conditioner unit itself. You will need a compatible air distribution box, control box, and thermostat. And those items, those components will have to be R32-compliant. But we do have complete systems here at etrailer.com from GE.
So if you're needing the entire thing, the air conditioner, the control box, the air distribution box, and the thermostat, you can find those systems here on our website, whichever system is going to work best for your particular application. This will be a bolt-on installation, but again, this doesn't include hardware. Those bolts typically come with the air distribution box that you choose, whether that be for your ducted system or your ductless system. Now this is gonna fit roofs from two to six inches thick with an opening size of 14 and 3/8 inches long by 14 and 3/8 inches wide. And looking at the measurements of the unit itself, the overall length, we're sitting right at 32 and 13/16 inches long.
The overall width, 26 and 1/8 inches wide. The overall height, right under 14 inches. And this weighs right under 80 pounds. So this is gonna run quietly for you because the motor has sound-dampening grommets that are gonna help reduce that annoying humming sound and vibration. And as I mentioned, this does include the heat pump, and as you probably know, that heat pump actually pulls warmth from the air to heat the inside of your RV or camper on those chilly mornings.
And this is gonna be an easy swap for most RVs. This is going to seamlessly install over your roof's preexisting roof vent opening. Underneath, you probably can't see it too well, but we do have foam pads on the base there, so that's gonna help cut down on vibration and noise. And then of course the gasket there at the center that's going to sit over your roof vent opening. This is built tough for the road. It is constructed of high-grade materials that are gonna withstand extreme UV rays and constant vibration. The black hard automotive grade polymer shroud is going to do a good job of protecting the internal components from water and debris. And it can be easily removed if you ever need to do any maintenance or cleaning. It's secured in place by four Phillips head screws, two on each side. And then on your screen, I do wanna give you a view of the wiring harness. This is gonna be tucked up underneath the unit. You'll just pull it down through the opening at the bottom, but that's a good view of the connectors there. And then you do wanna keep the rear of this air conditioner at least 18 inches away from any obstructions for proper airflow. And all of this is coming from a name that you trust, of course, GE, it's a reliable, trustworthy name that most are familiar with for appliances inside the home and the kitchen.
