Is The Curt Multi-Fit Ball Kit C68ZV Hard To Install And Uninstall?

Question:
so many say its difficult to remove. I need to be able to remove and install easily, do you guys have a video of this?

Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out. The Curt Multi-Fit Ball Kit # C68ZV is pretty simple to install/uninstall. You just pull the pins, flip the handles on each side, flip the latch on the ball and it lifts right out of the pucks. It is a bit heavier than your typical gooseneck ball, about 50 lbs, but its not too hard to handle. Once you undo the latches, just pull straight up on the ball and it just lifts right up and out.
We do have a video showing this. I've linked it for you below. If you fast forward to about the 2:00 mark you can see Kevin undoing the latches and uninstalling it.
What kind of trailer will you be hauling?

Mine took some modifications to make it fit. I have never tried removing as i use it quite regularly.

You just need to adjust the two nuts where your safety chain hooks rotate correctly......if they are too tight then yes its a pain to take in and out.......if the nuts are too loose then its sloppy and doesn't seat right......get them adjusted right to your puck system correctly and its easy to take in and out

Hi Mike, One of the biggest reasons I got this is the ease of removal. This set up is very easy to install and remove for me. I put it in when I tow and take it right back out when I am done each time. I am using it in a RAM 3500 with the puck set up, so it drops into the mounts very easily. The set up had instructions for RAM, GM and Ford puck systems. I am towing a 15,000 lb. Fifth wheel camper with it and it is very solid.
