I'm so frustrated. I need this particular lock cylinder in order to be able to sell a different vehicle and I waited about 2 weeks for my order to arrive and when it got here it was the wrong part.
This is a great option if you want to keep using your ignition key with your tailgate lock. Super easy to code it to your existing key. Highly recommended!
Installed on my 2010 Silverado 5.3L
The product did not fit my 05 Chevy Colorado as described on the website. No biggy it happens. But when I had to pay shipping to return the product after having many conversations with E-trailer.. Well that just shows a lot about this company and its customer service. They were very friendly though.
There isn't much to say about this lock. It works perfectly with my factory key, and the instructions are very easy. Simply put your key in the lock, completely, and turn. OEM replacement was 10x the price.
Super easy to install and configure. Recommended for anyone that needs to add or replace a tailgate lock.
Make sure you review the key style information before you order. I did not and had to sent it back (which was not a problem.
It is a great product to replace locks on your truck so the keys all match.
I hope the make one for the 2014 chevy wher the key has no "teeth"

This replacement lock cylinder is used with part # BL5922987 which is fit for late model GM vehicles. The GM vehicles are 2008 to 2014 GMC Sierras and 2008 to 2014 Chevy Silverado. I checked and it would not work with a Chevy Colorado.
