They worked perfectly for my A.R.E. contractor truck cap. The key used was for a newer FORD(2015) even though top was on a 2000 Ford. Does what it's supposed to. Stick the key in, rotate clockwise and it's coded to your key. Be sure to turn the key all the way, both of my locks had a hitch at about a half turn. Need to turn the key 360 degrees for it to work.1471855

These things work great!!! I like only having to use one key for my vehicle and the locks on my canopy. I did have to modify them slightly for them to work on my canopy, but they work.1187874

After a year, these are still working great. I did have one that needed some repairfrom my modifications, but it’s back working great now.

Lock cylinders came just barely on time as estimated. In order to make sure things were done just right, I took it slow on the first replacement, took about 30min, then the next took about 10min and the next 5min, this was in 25° weather with gloves and basic tools. Really all that was needed for my locks was needle nose pliers and an adjustable wrench. My existing key turned ckockwise in a full 360°, then worked perfectly. So nice to not have a separate key!1252566

Well, its been a year since I installed my Bolt lock replacement cylinders and now I can be completely honest about the quality and workmanship. I WILL NEVER not recommend these top quality locks! Have not had 1 negative issue with daily use on our commercial vehicle. GREAT PRODUCT.

These BOLT locks are absolutely great! Ingenious design that lets you use one key for your truck and the lock. I had purchased a second hand commercial truck topper that had three locks that were keyed to the former owner's truck. Excellent idea, excellent product, excellent retailer! There cannot be enough good said of etrailer and the product line they offer. There is no reason to look elsewhere you’ll just be disappointed. As for the product you’ve just deleted the need for a set of keys and this set is now unique to your ignition on the vehicle it’s mounted on. Simple process to change them out 15-30 minutes depending on your skill set. My only hesitation was how well will the lock cylinders work with the ignition key? Perfectly is the answer.1213659
