Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Excellent product, lets my 64 Avion keep the original shape tail lights and still move into the new age.

by:

I ordered by phone and found that the the represenitave was very helpful, the order was delivered on time and just what I wanted.
Thank You, I will use you again for my trailer needs!!

by:

Very well made. I am going to use this to make led taillights for my 1964 Ford Galaixe stationwagon.

by:

Original 'top hat' tail/brake/signal lights for my little Scamp camp trailer are not available so I searched for a comparable light in LED & found these. They're the same diameter & the mounting pad & simple wiring made it easy to replace the 'long gone' originals with bright, easily seen lights that many folks think are factory.

Harvey, You did exactly what Im trying to do, replace the tail lights on my 13, scamp. But the lights above dont say anything about signal lights in the product description, even called. No was what I was told. Did you wire these so you can have signal lights ? TED

These will in fact work with turn signals, we are in the process of updating the page. There are 3 wires on the back of the light. White = Ground Black = running/tail lights Red = brake and turn signals Check out the link to the Expert Answer page for more information.

Great replacement for a set of older incandescent style lights. Far far brighter, super easy install, larger size let me pretty well cover the existing holes from the old rectangular lights. Does have a license plate holder but those are usually pretty brittle anyhow. I just got a flush mount plate bracket which looks better.

These still look great and work great. Very nice upgrade

by:

These lights have been an outstanding upgrade from the original incandescent brake/turn/tail/reverse lights on my department's 1992 water tanker. The diodes in the lights are really bright and can be seen clearly at nighttime or during the day. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

by:

I looked all over the web for this type of light.
The 7" round LED makes it very noticeable.
As far as safety the light is great.
Ordering and shipping was very easy.
I will be recommending this site to anyone who is needing parts.

Just what I needed for an old 30ft New Flyer. Also works on Opus Optimas (if anybody has any of those horrible things still around) Good light from a good company. I chose fast shipping and they actually packaged it and shipped it out right away. Thanks George!

They are still going strong! Im very happy with them and that you guys stock them in 24 volt. I wish you also had the flanged four inch amber ones in 24 volt too. The manufacturer of our vehicles marks things up so much its ridiculous. Anyway, thanks for the good products, prices, simple website.

Very nice tail light that was perfect for replacing lights on a very old pop-up camper. Delivery was much faster than I expected. Ordered on Saturday afternoon, lowest cost shipping, got my order on Monday - wow!

Working perfectly, been on many trips since I installed these in all kinds of southern weather.

Great communication about etrailer waiting to receive product causing delay in shipping, but then shipped immediately when received by them. Quality products and great prices!

by:

Good product

by:

Fit the size and mounting holes on my 1969 Airstream Caravel perfectly. A great replacement for the old beat-up and corroded lights. All four functions (turn, stop, run, brake) work great with my completely new trailer wiring job. I hooked them up temporarily to validate all my wiring and then took them off until the restoration and polishing is complete so that they don't get ruined.

by:

The lights are great easy to install and looks GREAT too, Super Bright!

by:

I bought two of the lights to use on my 2005 Forest River Cardinal 5th wheel. Trailer had the original equipment 7 inch lights. This light fit perfect in the same holes. I did have to rewire the light but that was easy since these lights have instructions on the back to tell which wire is brake, ground, or tail. It comes with a water proof dense foam gasket. This is a nice bright light.

I still have two of the old lights as my trailer has 4 in the back. I am a cheap fellow and will use these lights whenever another old one bites the dust.

Be advised the factory used caulk and screws to install the light. They did not want to come off after 15 years. TIP: I used a heat gun moving it all the way around the circumference of the light for about 2 minutes. I waited about 5 minutes and then made a steel widget to pry off the lights. They came off much easier with the heat.

by:

These work great. These replaced the original round tail lights on an 80's Scamp camping trailer. Other cars can now see my lights!

by:

A large bright combined stop/turn/tail light designed to be mounted on flat surface. Looks to be good quality. We mounted it on a bracket and using it as a removable tow light for our Jeep.

by:

They work for me. They really brighten my stop and taillights. Installation was easy and they fit.

by:

The lights look great and they perform as described. This was quite a relief since I had ordered my first set of lights from an Amazon Supplier that were defective (all four of four were defective). I had spent several hours trying to troubleshoot what I was doing wrong finally to realize that the brand new lights I had purchased from the other supplier were all bad.
I appreciate the quality of your product. They look great on my motorhome.
Thanks,

by:

Great to deal with, fast shipping.

by:

Good generic led tail/stop light replacement unit. Looks well constructed and is very bright. Installed with no problems at all. No documentation included so be aware that the WHITE lead is ground. Gasket is pre-punched making installation very easy. No mounting screws are included, just the light and the gasket.

by:

Exactly what I wanted! I'm using them to replace the rear tail lights on my 1966 Nomad- I wanted a super bright large round tail and etrailer delivered!!! I didn't want to put in months of work and $1000's of dollars to hav someone rear wnd me.
Awesome product!

by:

As usual, great service for a product that is not easy to find. I used a pair of their on the back of my fifth wheel trailer whose mfg has been out of business for 10 yrs. Thanks again.

  • How to Connect the # STL42RB Tail Lights to a 1958 Trailer with 2 Wire Lighting System
The 4 inch Round Sealed LED Stop, Turn or Tail Light, item # STL42RB, uses a 3 wire pig tail, item # A47PB or # A45PB, to connect to your existing trailer wiring. The plug on the pigtail plugs into the back of the tail light and is then hard wired to your trailer wiring. It sounds as if your original tail lights were grounded to the trailer frame through their mounting studs, so a third wire was not needed. When connecting the 3 wires from the 3 wire pig tail, you will ground the white...

  • Light To Replace Older Reflecto Light 110-150 On Travel Trailer
From my research on the Reflecto light 110-150 that you mentioned, they are round stop/tail/turn lights that measure 6-7/8" in diameter. They were used on older travel trailers in the 1960s and 70s so there are not replacement lens available anymore. I recommend to replace the whole light with Optronics part # STL90RB. The Optronics light is a surface mount stop/tail/turn light that has a 7" diameter so it works well to replace the 6-7/8" inch diameter reflecto light on your trailer....

To replace your exisiting lights with those of the same diameter, we offer both incandescent and LED lights. Our most popular 7 inch diameter, round, red trailer taillight is the Optronics # ST90RB. Good morning Gregg good to hear from you again. Between the two lights you mentioned, the Optronics # STL90RB is going to be brighter than the Petersen # PE64AR. In this case more diodes is better and 31 diodes are certainly going to be brighter and more visible that 17 diodes. Companies like Optronics and Petersen do not measure the brightness of these lights so I am afraid I do not have any hard numbers I can give you. On the Optronics light # STL90RB the black wire is for the stop/turn circuit so that is where you'd run your blinker circuit to. The black wire gets the running light circuit and white is ground. However this could cause some bleed over so when the left turn signal is on the right turn signal could light up some.
