Optronics STL90 Series LED Transit Light Dimensions

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Video Transcript for Optronics Trailer Lights - Tail Lights - STL90RB Review

Today were reviewing part number STL90RB from Optronics. This is an LED light with four functions: Stop, turn, tail and side marker, and side reflector light. Since it has side marker and side reflector functions it eliminates the need for a separate marker light and reflector to meet the requirements of the Department of Transportation. This light surface mounts flush and a grommet is included, so that makes it weather tight. You have four screws that all you have to do is loosen those and you can take the lens cover off and that will allow you to replace the lens if you need to. The mounting holes, you have four of those, are 6 inches apart from the center of one hole to the center of another.

The diameter of the light from the outside edge to the outside edge is 7 inches. For the wiring you have your white ground wire, you can see that. Always mount your ground on a clean unpainted metal surface. The red wire is for your brake and the black wire is for power. Now we can turn off our overhead light and I can show you how this works.

In the center you have your taillight. Around that you have a ring that serves as your reflector light and then around that you have 28 LEDs and thats going to be your brake light. Heres your brake and heres your turn. Okay, we can turn our overhead light back on.There you have it for part number STL90RB from Optronics, the stop, turn, tail and side marker, and side reflector light.

Just what I needed for an old 30ft New Flyer. Also works on Opus Optimas (if anybody has any of those horrible things still around) Good light from a good company. I chose fast shipping and they actually packaged it and shipped it out right away. Thanks George! 227173

They are still going strong! Im very happy with them and that you guys stock them in 24 volt. I wish you also had the flanged four inch amber ones in 24 volt too. The manufacturer of our vehicles marks things up so much its ridiculous. Anyway, thanks for the good products, prices, simple website.

Best trailer lights EVER! Super bright and easy installation 341101

by:

I bought two of the lights to use on my 2005 Forest River Cardinal 5th wheel. Trailer had the original equipment 7 inch lights. This light fit perfect in the same holes. I did have to rewire the light but that was easy since these lights have instructions on the back to tell which wire is brake, ground, or tail. It comes with a water proof dense foam gasket. This is a nice bright light. I still have two of the old lights as my trailer has 4 in the back. I am a cheap fellow and will use these lights whenever another old one bites the dust. Be advised the factory used caulk and screws to install the light. They did not want to come off after 15 years. TIP: I used a heat gun moving it all the way around the circumference of the light for about 2 minutes. I waited about 5 minutes and then made a steel widget to pry off the lights. They came off much easier with the heat. 725755

Fit the size and mounting holes on my 1969 Airstream Caravel perfectly. A great replacement for the old beat-up and corroded lights. Good generic led tail/stop light replacement unit. Looks well constructed and is very bright. Installed with no problems at all. No documentation included so be aware that the WHITE lead is ground. Ask the Experts about this Optronics Trailer Lights

Do you have a question about this Trailer Light?

  • Light To Replace Older Reflecto Light 110-150 On Travel Trailer
  • From my research on the Reflecto light 110-150 that you mentioned, they are round stop/tail/turn lights that measure 6-7/8" in diameter. They were used on older travel trailers in the 1960s and 70s so there are not replacement lens available anymore. I recommend to replace the whole light with Optronics part # STL90RB. The Optronics light is a surface mount stop/tail/turn light that has a 7" diameter so it works well to replace the 6-7/8" inch diameter reflecto light on your trailer....

  • Replacement Rear Stop/Turn/Tail/License Plate Combo Cake Light for 1968 Pathfinder Travel Trailer
  • Thank you for providing the photo of the 7-inch combination Stop/Turn/Tail/License Plate Combo Cake Light from your 1968 Pathfinder travel trailer. I was able to find photos and some comments on trailer owner forums regarding your 1968 Pathfinder trailer, but not any specific information regarding the manufacturer of the original light fixtures. Given the age of this venerable old trailer it is quite possible that the original manufacturer of the cake light is no longer in existence....

  • Recommendation for Surface Mount Bright LED Trailer Tail Lights
  • The lights included in LED light kit # TLL16RK are 18 diode lights and they mount using bolts that you would have to screw into a solid frame part of the trailer and then the lights hand on the bolt heads. This is probably not the best solution for you. If round is an option I recommend light # STL90RB. This light has 31 diodes and will be very bright. It mounts to the surface of the trailer so using screws to the trailer skin should work fine. I have linked a video review of this light...

It is a little deeper by about 7/16 inches. It also has more diodes, 31, compared to the Glo-Brite with 17. As far as fitting in its place though # STL90RB is the way to go.

  • Replacement LED Trailer Tail Lights for a Sunnybrook 5th Wheel Trailer

The middle ring is a reflector, not a light (see photo). When the stop or turn signal is activated, only the outer ring should illuminate with a higher intensity, not the center circle, I made a short video for you showing how this light should function. • Comparing the Transit # STL90R24B and # STL90RB Tail Lights
  • The difference between the Transit Tail Lights # STL90R24B and # STL90RB is that the former is compatible with 12V or 24V systems while the latter is only compatible with 12V systems. Aside from that they both use the stop/turn/tail functions, are LED, have 31 diodes, are submersible, and have the same dimensions.

  • Using a 2-Wire Trailer Tail Light on a Trailer with Separate Brake and Turn Signals
  • Since you have indicated that you do have separate turn signal and brake light wires on your Scamp trailer, connecting both of those separate wires to the same circuit on the light # STL90RB is probably what is causing all of the problems including back feeding to the truck. It has dual intensities so that it could be used as a tail light and then when the blinkers or brakes are applied the brighter filament will illuminate.
