Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this replacement lock cylinder for your BOLT toolbox latch. It's gonna be coded to a Nissan key. Now, it does fit this kinda key fob or key. And again, it replaces the lock cylinder in your BOLT toolbox that codes to a Nissan key. And it fits a specific model, I'll put that up here on the screen for you.

Now, this can also be used to change the latch to fit a different ignition key. So let's say you got a toolbox, you bought a new truck, and you wanna fit the new key into one of these. So that's where this guy comes in. So I'm leaving this sticker on, like it says, don't take it off until you're ready to encode it, but basically, behind there is where you put the key in. We wanna make sure nothing accidentally goes in there and messes it up.

So the first time you put your key in here, it does code it directly to that key fob or that key rather. And it does require a retaining nut to go in those threads. That's sold separately. More likely than not, you should have it already because you're just replacing one of these. It has a limited lifetime warranty.

And one thing to note, again, once you code this the first time, it is only permanently coded to that key. It cannot be recoded ever or re-keyed, even by locksmiths.
