I modified the bracket to facilitate installation of 7 prong adapter on 2006 Expedition. Had to use some heat to change the angle to 45 degrees, and cut a couple slots for the clamps, but works when nothing else did. Clamped directly onto the tow bar, and still sturdy after 800 miles. 524369

Prior to ordering the wiring harness and mounting brackets for my truck, I called etrailer.com to ensure I was identifying the right products. The customer service person I spoke to was very knowledgeable. The shipment arrived on time. The wiring harness worked and continues to work well (easy install). The bracket however had a slight issue with fit. I spoke to etrailer.com again and they quickly rectified the issues and sent a new bracket at no cost. Things don't always go right, but it is how we respond to issues that matter. These guys have it together. Well done. 705227

I read several reviews beforehand that stated the bracket is a little thin and would flex when connecting the trailer lights, so I ordered two of these and coupled them together to make it a stronger bracket. (Just have to open up the corresponding holes in one of the brackets so the screws will still feed through. Now it's much stronger and won't bend at all when making a connection. I decided to mount the bracket sitting on top of the bracket weld of my Draw-tite hitch so that it didn't hang so low below the hitch and risk getting damaged coming off a curb or hitting a low spot in the road. I have a 2011 Toyota Highlander and used an Exacto knife to cut out some of the plastic body panel so the harnessed wiring would fit through. Looks almost factory style to me. And it works great! 469941

This is a decent bracket that does it's job well. A little too much pressure while plugging in your harness can bend it if you don't brace it, however. 875863

Need to update your site to not suggest a part that doesn’t fit the product your purchasing since there’s no way to determine the bolt pattern, the harness worked great, going to a local dealer to try and find the mounting bracket> I'm sure this items works great, the issue is that this was shown on the same page as the 7-pole harness and the bolt pattern does not match. Can't use it. Need to keep the suggestions the same as the product you purchase. 820130

It looks like you purchased Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter part 22114 for the 2017 Ford Transit T350. The 7-way plug that comes with the Tekonsha kit requires the Mounting Bracket and Installation Hardware part PK12711U. If you do not want to drill you can also use the no drill bracket part C57202 with the bracket.

Ask the Experts about this Draw-Tite Accessories and Parts

  • What is the Mounting Hole Pattern for 7-Way Bracket # 18138
The Draw-Tite bracket for 7-way # 18138 will mount at a right angle with pre-drilled mounting holes. The hole diameter, which will fit the majority of 7-way connectors, is 2-1/16 inches. I went to our warehouse to get this part and provide you the measurement of the mounting hole bolt pattern and several other measurements. Take a look at the diagram I made for you.

  • Correct 7-Way Mounting Bracket for the Nissan Tow Package Wiring Harness # 118266
The Draw-Tite 7-Way Mounting Bracket, # 18138, will not fit the Nissan Tow Package Wiring Harness, # 118266, that you purchased. The correct mounting bracket is the Pollack 7-Pole Mounting Bracket, # PK12711U. This bracket is listed in the related items on the product page for the Nissan wiring harness. You will also want the installation hardware, # PK11926, unless you plan on using the hardware from the Draw-Tite bracket.

  • Replacement Mounting Bracket for 7-Way Trailer Connector
Any of the three brackets you mentioned would work just fine as a replacement mounting bracket for the 7-way adapter that came with your # ETBC7 Brake Controller Install Kit. The Pollak # PK12711U looks to have the best finish, epoxy coated galvanized steel, versus the powder coated steel for the other two, so I'd expect it to provide the best corrosion resistance. If you wanted the mounting bracket and the 7-way as well, they're sold together as part # 37185.
