Easy installation, and easy to order as well as free shipping. I'm definitely not mad about it! I did not follow the directions as far as the cutout. It is better to measure the square tube reciver so it looks cleaner.

Looks great, Robert! That's a pretty good tip to wait till the end to make the cutout.

Box was pretty beaten up when I got it, all the parts were securely attached to the hitch so nothing was missing. The instructions called for an 18mm socket to remove and install bolts. The factory nuts were an 18mm, I chose to reinstall with the bolts and nuts that came with the hitch, those nuts are a 19mm no big deal just an extra trip to the tool box. Took me about 2 hours to install. Used my floor jack to hold the thing in place while I got the first couple bolts in, you need something or someone to hold the hitch in place while you get a bolt in each side.

by:

As others mentioned, box was pretty beat up. But hitch was fine. I removed the air dam to give me more space. Hitch installed with the help from a floor jack to hold it in place. I cut the hole in the air dam and reinstalled it on the truck. Took about 3 hours, I added a Kuat drop receiver extension to lower and extended it to hold two Himiway e bikes

by:

I installed a large tool box for extra storage during an extended trip to Utah. The hitch was no problem and I minimized lateral movement by strapping the box frame to my tow hooks and it worked great. I will be installing a front motorcycle carrier in the future

by:

The front hitch fits well and was relatively easy to install. The one issue with it is you have crawl on the ground to install the pin for the hitch. The hole for the pin is behind the air dam. That makes it frustrating every time I use it.

by:
2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Do not follow the instructions for cutting the air dam. I cut mine 3" wide and 3 1/2 " tall. It was still a little wide. It goes without saying "you can always enlarge it but can't make the hole smaller." The poor instructions kept me from giving it 5 stars. I was able to put black silicon around the cut. Other than that it went on fine and seems to be sturdy. I chose the curt because it was lower and a bicycle rack would not stick up as high,

The front hitch is fine. I would like to emphasize do not follow the instructions on cutting the air dam!

by:

Definitely a quality item, very satisfied with it. My truck is a 2X4 so has a smaller air foil below the bumper and it did not require cutting, there's a 1/32 to 1/16 inch gap between the two. I used some wood blocking to support it for the install and checked the paperwork and my measurements a few times thinking that I might have the wrong part because when the hitch was supported by the hardware there was about a 5/16 gap on both sides, had to draw that in by tightening each side alternately. All in all good. The hitch has the mounting holes needed for existing items that you will move to fit it in. Took me 4 hours to install including sizing the wood blocking that I used to support it. Also because I had to tighten each side a little at a time to close the gaps, tough work on the thick plate that is used to make the hitch. Extremely happy with the hitch including the access to the pin. Definitely glad I got it, definitely glad I got it here as well, on my porch in three days :)

2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Kudos to E-Trailer for fast delivery. Due to the weight the box was beat up pretty bad, but no damage to the hitch. Quality hardware included as well as fish wires to get the hidden bolts into place. The measurements for cutting the slot in the air dam were wrong as far as I was concerned. The instructions said to cut 4 inches up and 3 1/2 inches wide. As you can see by the pictures, 4 inches up is too much. The top should be cut right where the curve at the top of the air dam cross feature is. I did install this by myself. A helper would have been a good idea. If you choose to install this solo, get the supplied bolts that hang down vertical started loosely first to carry the weight of the hitch. Then you can maneuver the hitch to line up the holes for the side bolts. Once everything is tight the hitch is very solid and except for my boo-boo with cutting the air dam, is almost invisible.

by:
2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Product arrived in a damaged box (handlers) but the sturdiness of the product and proactive taping of the hardware to the receiver prevented any parts from being lost.

Installation video was helpful. Instruction from manufacturer assume you know all terminology. Installation times shown are questionable. Two retired IT engineers completed the install in approx 3.5 hours. We decided to take off air dam to have better access to the bolts holding the fascias.
Getting a torque wrench on the "joined / reused bolts" was challenging as it is a one click on the ratchet.
Super pleased with the outcome and installation we accomplished. Going to use this to haul a pair of ebikes using a Swagman Ebike contraption. :-) Will mostly likely add a 4" drop adapter to lower the bikes out of the field of view while driving.

Carrying mountain bikes on 3 year cross country Airstream trip and this front mount system is great... no issues so far. Keep lubricated and periodically check threaded pin and life is good!

The customer service I received was great. I was in Nashville when my bike rack actually broke the welds on my fifth wheel bumper. I needed to purchase and install a front receiver for my F350. We were only staying in Nashville for 5 days so I needed the hitch shipped quickly. James R was my customer service rep. James had the hitch to me in one day. He also sent me a how to install video. The installation went well. I am 65 and was able to do the install with a little help from my floor jack.
Great experience

by:

Nice quality product. Packaging pretty banged up but didn’t expect any damage given what it is. Kind of hard to damage steel.
No problems with installation. Two front bolts both sides a challenge to torque given limited swing on wrench.
Curt was pretty generous on trim dimensions on front air dam. I trimmed to their dimensions and have over an inch of clearance on top. Side to side is okay.
Overall quite happy with my purchase.

Installed easily and is solid.

Perfect fit on my F350

by:

Pretty easy to install. Had to remove existing plates, not necessary especially with receiver in place. Used a floor jack to hold it in up while fitting bolts. Wire stringer guides were immense help. DON’T cut the apron until you see where the receiver will fit or you will have a big hole based on the instructions.

by:

Love this front mount receiver hitch, great solution for mounting my winch, but will likely use it for a front mounted bike rack and other things in the future. Very heavy duty. Install was a breeze, but you do have to cut a small hole in the front apron for it to exit through. I used my multi-tool for a nice clean cut.

by:

Item and the fasteners are the highest quality, no import junk.
The welds, deburring, and paint are also superior.
The fit is spot on, not snug, not loose, just perfect.
It went on a 2021 F250 Tremor and no trimming was needed for the front fascia.
It hangs down to about the front steering linkage level, a perfect clearance marker.

Works great use it for winch mount which I can remove the winch when not using.

by:

Super sturdy, easy to install, and very handy to have the bikes mounted in front of the camper where we can see them. I used an oscillating trim tool to cut out a section of lower wind fairing plastic. We generally don't drive at night, but this could be an issue for some, if the bikes block the headlight beams. We would just jam the bikes inside if we really had to. As with previous purchases, the hitch arrived in pretty beat-up box, but the thing is so durable that it wasn't even scratched.

Ford F-250 Super Duty

I purchased this Curt front-mount receiver hitch to haul a moderately heavy e-bike with my 2021 Ford F-250 SuperDuty. I was apprehensive to install a hitch on the rear bumber of my travel trailer (that I tow behind the pickup) due to the weight and the fact that my rear license plate would be obstucted on the trailer. I installed the Curt front-mounted receiver by myself which was a chore but not too bad for a rookie. I must say I have been extremely pleased with this item. It is well made and very sturdy. Plus, I was pleased to find that only a small portion of the bike extends up enough for me to see while driving... so, no obstucted vision.

  • Will Front Mounted Hitch fit 2017 Ford F-250 Four-Wheel Drive?
Both of the front mounted hitches you referenced, Draw-Tite # 65076 and Curt # C31078 are confirmed fits for all models of the 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty. They will not interfere with your axles; you can check out how each looks in the photos I've attached for you. In general the taller the plow the better the angle it can be set at which allows for easier scraping. The wider the plow the more snow it moves in a single pass. For a front hitch for a 2007 Ford E-350 like you have we then have the part # 65001 which will fit and work great as a base mount for a hitch mounted plow. For an 84 by 22 inch plow then the SnowBear Part # SB324-081 would be a really great option that is easy to use and very effective. I attached a review video for more info...
