Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number BD190705. This is the Bulldog Square Swivel Jack with a round pipe mount. This has superior side load capacity when compared with round jacks. The outer and the inner tubes are going to overlap for additional strength when the jack is fully extended. Nice square design is going to provide additional support when it comes to side loading. It's also got a compact design, which is going to make this perfect for tight applications.
The tubular swivel design is going to let you swing the jack up for travel or down for use. It's going to include the pull pin that's going to hold the jack in either position. It's got a nice little chain on there so that way, you don't ever have to worry about misplacing the pin and potentially losing it. It's also going to feature a durable, long-lasting construction, weather-resistant coating here on the outer tube, and then a zinc-plated finish on the inner tube. This has a screw nut stop that's going to prevent damage to the screw and or the nut when the jack is fully extended. Top wind handle has smooth, ergonomic design for easy cranking.
It's going to include a bushing here in the top cap as well as an eagle claw grip. That way, you get a nice, secure grip on the handle when you're raising or lowering the jack. If we take a measurement of the handle radius, measuring from the center of the handle to the center of where it mounts, that's going to give us a radius of about 9 inches. It does include the round weld-on tubular mount. That's going to have an outer diameter of 3 inches, inner diameter of 2 1/2 inches.
That portion here is going to be welded on to the frame of your trailer. Once you have that welded on, your jack is going to sit inside of that pipe mount, which, when the pin is disconnected, is going to allow the jack to swivel inside there, so that way you can move it up during travel and down for use. Then all you have to do is line up the pin holes and place back in the pin, and it's going to be secured in either position. This is ASABE complaint. It's got the welded-on footplate, so that's included as well. That's going to give us an overall length of 8 inches, overall width of 6 inches.
Now if we take a look at the bracket height, I need to go ahead and lower this all the way down to the fully retracted position. See, it has a nice, smooth design. So we're going to take a measurement from the ground to the center of the pipe mount, again, fully retracted. That's going to give us a measurement of 11 and 3/8 of an inch. Now, with it fully extended, that measurement came to 21 and 3/8 of an inch, which is going to give this jack a lift or travel of 10 inches. The clearance that we have from that mounting bracket or that pipe mount to the top of the jack, that's going to give us a measurement of about 4 and 1/4 of an inch. That's not including the handle. That's just from the center of the pipe mount to this portion right here. The outer tube here, again, square design-that's going to be 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches. That inner tube is going to give us a measurement of 2 and 1/4 by 2 and 1/4. This jack is going to offer a lift capacity of 5,000 pounds, and a static capacity of 8,000 pounds. When the handle's not in use, it can be rotated over for a nice stowed position. That's going to do it for our review of part number BD190705. Works great, very well built. I’m using it on my John Deere 10’ CX15 rotary cutter which is in the neighborhood of 2,000-2,100 pounds of tongue weight and it lifts it with ease and is very stable. Also has the perfect range of height.
Mounted on front of 12 ft. dump trailer, works great. Jack can be removed while trailer is in use.
Good Quality
Used this jack for my John Deere CX15 rotary cutter. Works great, lifts the front of the cutter up with ease even though it’s over 2,000 pounds of tongue weight IIRC. And plenty of range on the height for this application also.

Very well built and heavy duty. Used for a replacement of an older Bulldog that sat outside for 10+ years and rusted. Love the addition of the grease zerk near the top of the sleeve.
Only minor complaint is that the packaging for shipping was not great. I recieved the jack with the top of the sleeve/handle sticking out of the box. It had punched right through the cardboard. Ended up being no issue, but I could easily see how that would have resulted in a bent handle.

The jack was chosen because of it's dimensions that would fit my application and lift rating. I just recently installed it and the fit was just what I needed. The paint on the unit is not sufficient and did require redoing. If the pipe mount could incorporate a security attachment it would be much improved. I expect that it will provide a longer service life than the jack it replaced.

Application is on a 24' utility trailer used for equipment hauling & general purpose, including kids hay rides. A replacement and upgrade for a jack which was stolen. This jack is very stable and has strength for heavy loads when trailer is not attached to tow truck. The price at etrailer.com was very favorable even when compared to lesser quality jacks.
I ordered this jack to replace my tongue mounted jack because it would sometimes hit the ground going over uneven terrain. When I received this jack I didn't realize the top wind would hit my spare tire so I contacted etrailer.com and they exchanged the jack fro a side wind. Great customer service.
I was not happy that I could not purchase these items locally, in an attempt to support local businesses. All local stores that carry trailer equipment could order the jack and hitch, but it would take over a week to be in my hands. Ordering from etrailer was easy and I had the items in 4 days. The prices were very reasonable as well. Overall, I think I came out good on this purchase.
