Today were going to take a look at the Pro Series round pipe mount swivel jack part #: PS1400460303. Now Pro Series covers this jack with a limited one year warranty. It has a lift capacity of 5,000lbs and its built using 2 inch diameter tubing. Next we want to go over a couple of measurements with you. Well measure form the center of our pipe mount to the bottom of our footplate. We get about 11 inches fully retracted.
Now Ill take the same measurement on the same jack thats fully extended. The measurement here comes out to about 21 inches. The difference between the two, 10 inches, is known as the jacks travel or lift. The inner tube and the footplate thats welded to it are finished with a zinc plating and this is going to help prevent corrosion. The flat base also provides a nice stable surface for resting the nose of your trailer.
The outer tube is finished in a black paint. Its a top wind jack with a hand knob to make operation smooth and easy. On the back well see the mounting system. Youll take this inner piece of steel here and weld it to the frame of your trailer. The jack will sit on this tube and it can swivel on it.
When youre pulling your trailer down the highway you can pull the jack up flat so that it doesnt run the risk of making contact with the ground and damaging the jack. To use this feature you just have to remove the pin, turn the jack and reposition it and then reinsert the pin.
