Both of the extended and retracted measurements are going to be taken from the bottom of the footplate to the top of the jack tube excluding the handle. So the Bulldog # BD178101 measures 11 1/4" retracted, and 21 1/4" extended.

  Hi Mark; unfortunately that would not be possible. To use the Bulldog Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack # BD178101 you would have to weld on the pip mount that comes with the jack. It wouldn't work with the snap ring mount you currently have. For a similar option to replace you snap-ring jack use the Bulldog Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack # BD171401.
