Features to know about

Effortless Cranking: Sidewind Handle Design

The Bulldog Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack takes the hassle out of cranking with its ergonomic sidewind handle design. It glides like butter as you raise and lower your trailer, sparing your arms and offering a smoothly orchestrated ballet of movement every time. Whether you're leveling the load on your car hauler or enclosing your trailer, this jack does it without a fuss.

Maximum Maneuverability: Swivel-Mount Convenience

Bulldog's swivel-mount feature is designed for those of us who appreciate ease and efficiency. Just swing the jack up when hitting the road and down when it's time to set up. Its precision-fitted components make stability a given, even on uneven surfaces. This is a jack that not only looks the part but plays it too, transforming the once-tedious task of hitching and un-hitching into a seamless operation.

Rock Solid Reliability: Sturdy Steel Construction

Crafted from steel, this jack is as tough as guts. Its outer tube flaunts a gray-painted finish, while the inner tube is zinc-plated for resilience. It’s perfect for those out-of-the-way spots, where your trailer bears the brunt of the elements and you need it to stay in stellar condition. This jack can hold its own and then some, with a 5,000-lb lift capacity that’s got you covered.

Perfect Fit Every Time: Adjustable Clearance

No more awkward cranking angles or bruised knuckles. With a clearance of 6-3/8 inches from the mounting bracket to the top of the jack, this model stands at a wonderfully useful height. It's neither too short nor inconveniently tall, giving you that Goldilocks level of “just right” for a variety of trailer styles.

Hassle-Free Setup: Weld-On Pipe Mount

Welding isn’t everybody’s forte, but when it comes to Bulldog's conveniently included weld-on pipe mount, it doesn't need to be. Sue your brother’s welding skills, a friend’s help, or the expertise of your local welding shop, and you’re in business. This feature makes installation straightforward and ensures that once it's on, it's staying firmly attached.

Industry-Leading Standards: ASABE Compliant

Grow your trust with Bulldog by knowing this jack is ASABE compliant. It's tested and trusted in agricultural and commercial applications, giving you that extra sprinkle of assurance that it won’t just crumble under pressure. Enjoy that peace of mind on the road or farm, knowing your jack is built with rigor and reliability in mind.

  • Trailer Jack Solution for Trailer Tongue that is 6 inch by 3 inch
That is a pretty tall trailer frame but we do have a solution Dan. You could use the part # HD50000101 unless you wanted a swivel option. Then I would go with a weld on style jack like the etrailer # TJD-7000S for a sidewind or the part # TJD-8000 for a top wind. Or if you wanted something that could swivel you'd want a pipe mount like the part # BD178203.

  • What Pipe Mount Could Pro Series Trailer Jack # PS1401140303 Fit
The Pro Series trailer jack part # PS1401140303 that you referenced is designed to fit on a pipe mount diameter of 2 inches so if that's the size you have now (it looks like you do) then yes, this would easily fit on the same mount for an easy install. If you have a different diameter let me know and I'll see what might fit.

  • Mounting Ring Diameter for the BullDog Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack # BD198250
The Bulldog Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack - Sidewind - 15 inch Lift - 7,000 lbs, item # BD198250, has a male pipe on the jack and a female receiver that welds to the trailer. This female receiver has an inside diameter of just over 2-1/2 inches to fit on the 2-1/2 inch male pipe welded to the jack. This jack utilizes a 5/8 inch pin to secure the jack to the trailer. For a jack with a 2 inch outside diameter male receiver that welds to the trailer frame and has a capacity of 5,000 pounds,...

  • Can I Exchange my A-frame Trailer Jack for a Side Mount Jack so Tailgate Can Be Lowered?
I can certainly understand how you would like to lower your truck tailgate while hitched to a trailer. Yes, you can switch from an A-frame jack to the Bulldog # BD178203 side mounted swivel jack. You will need to weld on the pipe mount of course. With your current jack, adjust the jack height until the trailer is level, then measure from the top of the coupler to the ground. From that measurement add 4" and that is the height you need. If 15" is long enough, then the BD178203 is good...

  • Weld-On Jack Pipe Mount Recommendation for a12,000 lb Equipment Trailer
I went out into our warehouse and pulled a Bulldog Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack, part # BD178203, that has the same 2 inch inner diameter and 2.5 inch outer diameter pipe mount swivel jack as yours. I then test fit a Bulldog 2-1/2 inch Long, Weld-On Jack Pipe Mount for 2-1/2 inch, part # BD005024, and a Bulldog 2-1/4 inch Long, Weld-On Jack Pipe Mount for 2-1/2 inch, part # BD015279. I found that either will work dimensionally, the # BD015279 will fit on the inside and the # BD005024...

  • Trailer Jack Pipe Mount Upgrade From 3,000 lb Bulldog Swivel Jack
Thank you for the pictures and info! Since you had a Bulldog winch I recommend sticking with that brand because they are reliable and you can be confident that the pipe mount will match up exactly. To upgrade from a 3K we have the 5K # BD178203 or 7K # BD198250 depending on how much extra capacity you'd like. They both have a 15" lift and they are backed by a limited 5-year warranty so either one will fit your needs just fine.

  • What is the Difference Between Bulldog and Pro Series Pipe-Mount Swivel Jacks
The differences between the two jacks is minimal. The main feature difference is that the Bulldog # BD178203 has the ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) compliancy certification whereas the ProSeries # PS1401440303 does not. Bulldog uses this compliancy certification to test durability and longevity whereas the Pro Series jacks do not use this process. The other main difference is the Bulldog has a 5 year warranty and the ProSeries has a 1 year warranty. The...

  • Recommended Trailer Jack To Clear Tailgate With A-Frame Trailer
I do have an option for you but the tongue jack only needs to be rated for the tongue weight of your trailer which will only be around 10-15% of its loaded weight. Therefore, you are likely only going to need around a 700-1,000 lb weight capacity. The higher rated you go, the better off you will be but an 8,000 lb option would be far too much. In order to clear your tailgate while the trailer is attached you are likely going to need a side mount, swivel option. I recommend the Bulldog Round...

I have a solution for you, but the Bulldog Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack - Sidewind - 15" Lift - 5,000 lbs # BD178203 is not compatible with the Fastway Flip Foot # FA88-00-4500 since the leg and inner tube are a single piece. Instead, you'd need to use a jack that had a removable foot on the drop leg like the Pro Series Square Jack with Footplate - Drop Leg - Topwind - 28-5/8" Lift - 5,000 lbs # PS1400800383 or the Bulldog Square Jack w/ Footplate - Drop Leg - Sidewind - 28-1/2" Lift...

  • How To Fix Topwind Jack From Hitting Toolbox On Trailer Frame
The best option we have to give you clearance for the handle would be a side wind jack, the Bulldog Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack part # BD178203 which I can't imagine would hit the toolbox. That said, this would really be the only option as there isn't another choice aside from topwind and sidewind.

  • Is 5,000 lb Bulldog Topwind Jack Stronger or Easier to Use than Bulldog Sidewind Jack
The sidewind and top wind 5,000 lb Bulldog pipe-mounted trailer jacks you asked about have the steel construction with a zinc-plated inner tube and 5,000 lb capacity, so they are equal in strength. We also have a similar version by Pro Series. They also have the same ease in regard to cranking, though this can be based on personal preference. Some people would rather crank vertically (sidewind) as opposed to horizontally (topwind) and clearance is also another consideration if there's...

  • What Type Of Trailer Jack Will Fit a Trailer With a 8" Tall Frame?
