Question:
I have a dual axel trailer. I do not know the brand name of the axels. I recently purchased a k08-201-98 hub and drum. It fits on the on the axel.. I am only installing brakes on one axel. So, for the second axel I need a hub only. Hub 08-213-5UCI has the same inner and outer bearing as the 08-201-98. The only difference seems to be the inner diameter of the seal. If I replace the seal on the 5UCI hub, will it work on my axel? Thank you in advance.

Hey David, thanks for reaching out!
Yes, in order for the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 8-213-5UC1-EZ to work with that axle type you'll need the Grease Seals # RG06-070. This makes it so the idler hub fits the same axle as the Hub and Drum # K08-201-98.
Do your current axles only have 1 set of brakes or are you removing brakes from 1 set?

I appreciate your reply. Thank you. The trailer had brakes on both axels (old Warner donut magnets). None of the brakes were in working order. The trailer deck is 14 feet by 6.5 feet wide. I’ll use the trailer primarily for a UTV. I’m think that brakes on one axel will be sufficient for my use/weight of the trailer and cargo. Thoughts? David
